This week, Google announced a huge variety of new products, platforms, features, and more. Alongside announcing new all-in-one headsets that will be developed and produced by Lenovo and HTC, Google announced that Daydream (their virtual reality platform) will be getting some important updates which will bring the platform closer to the feature set found on the Gear VR. If released on time this fall, owners of Google phones that work with Daydream will have a variety of new features to try out. Many of these features described below will potentially be very useful for virtual reality porn browsing.
Named Euphrates, Google’s new update to Daydream shows that Google is still committed to the platform. Its feature set, while important and useful, is more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. This is a good thing, though, because Daydream needed/needs to mature a bit. In comparison to the other virtual reality platforms, Daydream has the fewest apps, the smallest number of features, and a very low number of hardware partners. With the addition of some considerable improvements, Google’s 2.0 update will bring Daydream to parity with other VR platforms.
Web Browsing in VR
The biggest addition that is coming to Google Daydream is a dedicated virtual reality web browser. Using Chrome as the web platform, Google’s new Daydream will allow users to browse the web in virtual reality. Browsing the web works with the Google Daydream controller. By adding a web browser to their virtual reality platform, Google is matching Samsung’s Gear VR feature-set. It is not surprising to me that Google is doing this because, after all, the Gear VR is the most successful virtual reality headset and virtual reality platform on the market.

Although I myself rarely use the web browser in my Gear VR, I can see how it would potentially be useful. Google’s virtual reality interaction of the Chrome browser works in an extremely similar manner to Samsung’s offering. When I do use my Gear VR for web browsing, it can be very helpful for browsing adult virtual reality content like that found on VRPorn.com. By browsing in VR, there is no chance that my girlfriend will walk in and see what I am browsing. In other words, a virtual reality browser is a perfect tool for hiding your pervy web browsing habits.
Other UI Stuff
Beyond adding the web browser, Google is adding a few other nice improvements to Google Daydream. They are working on improving the user interface. A new dashboard for access to quick settings (like WiFi and cellular connections) is being added. Additionally, a new form of virtual reality notifications is also being added so regular notifications can be provided to the user when they are using Daydream VR.

Social VR
There are a few other new features that will make Daydream a more social experience. A new cast feature is coming that will enable users to cast their display to a Chromecast device. This would not be very useful for virtual reality porn unless you were into some weird vicarious kinky things. These are just a few of the new features Google has announced.
