With a strong foothold in technology, Google has been actively involved and contributed quite a lot to the growth of VR tech industry. The company has always been working on bringing innovative & affordable new solutions that give an average user to enjoy high-quality VR content, which is not available easily otherwise. Some of its own projects like ‘Seurat‘ for high-fidelity mobile VR rendering, the latest VR180 for immersive VR content creation, and other interesting updates, are a testament to this.
After achieving a fair amount of success with its Tilt Brush painting app in VR, Google now announces its new app ‘Blocks’ which allows users to create 3D objects in virtual reality using tools directly from the VR headset and in the VR medium. Google Blocks make it absolutely easy for users to build, export, and share their own 3D creations over the web.

Till now, 3D modeling has been a difficult and demanding process in terms of complexities involved and high-end PC specs requirement. Looking to this opportunity, Google introduced Blocks, which empowers and encourages even the beginners of 3D modeling by providing them with some very easy-to-use simplistic tools.
Using their own creative imagination, users can bring several creations to life. Saying that Blocks doesn’t limit its use to just creating rudimentary designs or geometries, but rather extends to creating complex shapes involving fine details.

Google has made this application absolutely free for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive only. The non-availability of this wonderful application on Google’s own Daydream platform might leave users a bit disappointed here. However, for Rift users to use this application, they need to get their touch controllers equipped first.
‘Blocks’ has been a successful outcome of several experiments performed for creating high-level VR experiences with several prototypes being developed from scratch. Product manager Jason Toff, who leads Google’s VR creative efforts said, “We were spending more time building the models for the prototype than we were on everything else. That led us to say, this is the app we really need to develop. This is foundational beyond more fully formed VR applications. This is what VR needs, generally.”
The multitude of features and simplicity involved in using Blocks will be useful for many creative developers of VR porn games and CGIs. They will now be able to create your hot fantasy chicks using the right customizations and tools. Overall, this is really going to be a wonderful experience for all of us.
