Jimmy Fallon is a popular American late night talk show host with a reach of millions. On a recent episode, he tried out the HTC Vive (powered by Valve VR) headset.
He was clearly impressed.
“Wow! That was so rad! Oh my god!”
-Jimmy Fallon
He tried out Tilt Brush which is a VR painting app that is owned by Google. Vive has Tilt Brush and Oculus has Medium. You can think of them kind of like the Microsoft Paint of their respective platforms.
Tilt Brush allows you to paint in VR with a variety of different options, effects, and environments. First, Jimmy paints a smiley face on a snowman in a winter environment.
Then, in a sign of the user friendly interface, first-time user Fallon changes environments to a space scene with a floating moon. As he enters space, you can hear the audience making sounds of awe.
VR couldn’t get much better advertising than having a popular late night talk show host giving it his enthusiastic seal of approval.
