Waifu Sex Simulator is a program based on the “MocuMocuDance” application to view MikuMikuDance(MMD) models and motions on the Oculus Rift or Steam VR platforms. This is based on free software from Mr. Yuudo Senoo.
Your first time using WSS can be tricky and confusing, so I put together some straightforward steps that I wish I could have found initially for the Oculus Rift+Touch Controllers. With this article, I am going to break down the basics. There are of course more advanced features but this is the no-nonsense approach. Here are the steps.
— Note: This article is specifically for someone with the Oculus CV1+Touch Controllers+Rift Audio, although if you have a similar setup you should be able to work out the differences.
From your Desktop outside of VR Mode
- Download WSS the Standalone or Complete Collection using links from Lewd Fraggy.
- Unzip the folder to anywhere on your machine, I recommend keeping it in a hidden or non-default location.
- Allow “Unknown Sources” in Oculus (if you have not already).
- Oculus App Settings -> General -> Unknown Sources
- Make sure your Oculus Software is up and running.
- Run MocuMocuDance.exe via Windows Explorer – navigate to the Unzipped folder for Waifu Sex Simulator 3.1 and run the MocuMocuDance.exe
- A MocuMocuDance popup window should show up.. Modify the settings as below.
- RunType: Oculus Rift
- Anti-Aliasing: x4 (Default)
- Texture Filter: Anisotropic 16 (Default)
- 3D Sound: Enable (Default)
- LeapMotion: Enable (MountMode)
- JoyPad: Enable
- Play Sound Device Button -> Headphones (Rift Audio) -> OK
- Click the Run Button then put on your Oculus Rift headset.
Control Configuration
Before Continuing – I recommend reading the rest of the article first – First check out these basic controls real quick I promise it will save you some hassle. If you want to see the full list of Oculus controls, they are documented in the “Touch Controller Keymap.jpg” file in the root of the folder of WSS.
B Button – Opens/Closes the menu
A Button – Selects Menu Item
Left Stick Button Click– Resets your position in VR.
!! Important Control Notes, these two notes will save you a LOT of hassle.
- Every time you open the menu, you cannot fully move in VR! So if you have what you want playing in VR, close the menu with B button. Then you can move into position in VR.
- Every time you start something from the menu, it sets your VR position to where you are currently looking in VR. So typically… to the left where you are reading the menu item. This causes a chase your tail movement in VR. So sometimes I just close the menu look back to the right then open the menu or reset my position to keep this from getting out of hand. Even if you are deep in the menu list and close the menu, it will remember where you are at. So use this advice to keep yourself from getting all turned around in your play space.
Privacy Warning – This launches the MocuMocuDance Application Window, which will show on your monitor what is in your headset.
Continuing Inside Your Oculus Headset
Initially, you should see just a floor of light colored brick and sky.. and nothing else.
- Open the Menu – Click the B button on your touch controller, and on the left side of your view is the menu. If you don’t see the menu, try clicking B again to close, Click the left Stick button to reset your position then click B button to bring up the menu.
- With the right stick scroll down to “Etc.” then press A button.
- Select “Load Scene”.
Scroll down past all the Dance stuff and get straight to business, the other stuff follows the same naming pattern.
Example Naming Convention
3.1 – Dance – (Song Name) – (Model Name)
3.1 – (Movement Type) – (Model Name)
- Select a Scene and before closing the menu you can even scroll down to select a different one if you want and it will load the new one immediately.
- Press Button B to close the Menu so you can move around properly with the left controller.
Additional Noteworthy Options
Add Characters to your Favorites List
- Press Button B to bring up the menu (without a scene running is preferred).
- Choose Load Character
- Choose Filename.
- Choose a Character to load them.
- In the menu list using right thumbstick press Right to add as favorite or Left to remove from favorite list. (a circle pops up on the left for that item if they are a favorite).
Change the Character in the Scene
- Press Button B to bring up the menu while you are playing a scene.
- Choose Load Character.
- Choose Filename or Favorites.
- Choose a Character to swap out the character in the scene with a new one. (this doesn’t work 100% of the time, but it works most of the time)
