As if virtual reality (VR) wasn’t immersive enough, a company called Tactai is trying to take it to the next level with their new peripheral for VR called Tactai Touch.
This new VR technology focuses on the sense of touch by creating a device that tricks the brain into simulating touch experiences of objects within VR. It is my belief that the addition of this peripheral device will launch VR experiences and will be a much needed solution to reducing and overcoming the instances that break intense VR immersion.
Katherine Kuchenbecker; an associate professor of computer science, mechanical engineering and applied mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania; and her lab created the Tactai Touch prototype and works with virtual reality platforms like Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR and is expected to work with other future devices since the technology is not proprietary.
Below is a firsthand account by Rolling Stones Writer John Gaudios, who first covered this emerging technology back in September 2016.
“I was able to test out this technology at the Kuchenbecker’s U Penn lab. Sliding the Touch onto your index finger, it fits snugly but comfortably. It’s not unlike clipping on a pulse oximeter on your finger at the doctor’s office, which measures your heart rate and the level of oxygen in your blood,” reported Gaudios. “Once my finger was hooked up, a bulky prototype headset was secured and Domenikos appeared in a white virtual reality room talking about the importance of touch. I looked to the right and saw a fully inflated football sitting on a counter next to a slightly deflated football. Using Tactai Touch, I can not only feel the detailed, worn leather texture of the football, but also the indentations of the slightly deflated football compared to the tightness of the air-packed football.”
As mentioned above, the Tactai Touch controller clips onto any of your fingers, however the index figure is required, as it drives most of the touch experience. Further if this new hardware is marketed correctly will open up a vast amount of new opportunities for VR enthusiasts.
Moreover, the Tactai Touch controller and software will be another huge bonus for VR porn and VR Sex Simulators such as, Stickied: Waifu Sex Simulator VR 1.8 by Lewd Fraggy. If you haven’t tried out Waifu Sex Simulator, I highly recommend it.
Oculus Rift users will be in for a treat once their Oculus Rift Touch controllers launch in December for multiple reasons, but particularly for Waifu Sex Simulator. With Rift room scale and controllers on the way it will be truly immersive and sensual experience.
Enough about that though, a few last tidbits about this new hardware. According to tactai.com, the Tactai Touch SDK will be able to integrate content from Unity, Unreal Engine, and Cryengine, which will allow developers to implement touch-enabled experiences from day one of development.
This is great news for VR enthusiasts looking for development opportunities and high fidelity VR experiences, VR porn and adult simulators are no exception. The ability to touch, feel and experience virtual objects that also react to you when touched sounds out of this world to be honest, and think of the possibilities this technology has when it comes to…more adult body parts…

Cool I didn’t know about this before. I’m still not too clear on how it works though?
