Oh, how I wish the holiday season lasted all year round! And no, I’m not one of those corny fellows who sing “I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday” while reminiscing about the snow, the cold weather, ringing bells, children who sing, gifts, and Santa Claus. No, I actually prefer summer days and aren’t so keen on the holiday spirit. However, it seems like all the top-notch VR porn productions come out during Christmas and the New Year, and it’s hard to keep up with so much good stuff.
If the 1960s had the space race and every super power was trying to dominate the world from the stratosphere through satellites, as well as mark their territory on other planets, then the holiday time features some of the best releases from VR porn studios. Accordingly, based on the precedents of previous reviews, the expectations for this flick are really high.
It was very hard to keep the pace with all this releases and somehow I wish there were more of them just to take my personal enjoyment to entirely new limits, but it appears that this is the last one of this year’s offering. What’s going to be really interesting from my point of view as a reviewer is just how a title produced by a rather new VR porn studio can compete with something made by industry giants like Naughty America, BaDoink VR, and even Virtual Real Porn. So without further due, let’s carry on with the review of our last holiday-themed film!
“New Year’s After Party” by Reality Lovers
Welcome to the New Year’s after-party: the party to put an end to all partying, the film that concludes the holiday season specials, and the event that brings a fresh new beginning both in the lives of the performers, as well as in the presented content. We all know that when it’s all over we have to get back to work, so this better be good and leave us with a new great memory.
If this film was a Hollywood production from the Golden Age, it would be the Frank Capra 1946 classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”. But don’t get excited just yet, I’m not going to call it one of the greatest of all time and an instant classic through this parallel. I’m actually trying to refer to the long, tedious and mostly pointless opening and first few minutes that will make you wonder if it’s all worth it.

Yes, I can completely understand that immersing yourself in the fantasy world and developing a certain familiarity to the scene are important aspects, but the beginning is all about drinking champagne and poor acting. And I know it’s not often that porn features great acting outside the action itself, but this one takes the cake for looking boring and almost making me lose interest. Your male partner is in charge with filling glasses and doing a basic kind of communication that is half incomprehensible and filled with interjections, half poorly articulated in a Slavic accent – and completely silly and ridiculous.
I can understand if the actors can’t speak English so well, have trouble finding their words and were probably told to do an improvisation while the camera is rolling, but prolonging the scene is a poor decision on behalf of the producers. This can be a complete deal-breaker for some viewers, as a silly and anti-climatic intro usually results in a sudden decision to “switch the channel”. Watching the ladies drink champagne and laugh hysterically during the first two minutes is not a good way to start a VR porn film, as it does nothing to set the tone for the 20 minutes to come, and can potentially make the user feel annoyed, alienated, and willing to try something that pleases his need for attention and sensuality a lot better (and there’s a huge library to choose from). If I wasn’t watching the film to do a review, then I would have probably decided to change to content and go for something that’s better produced.
Luckily, the film does get better once the dialogue ends and the ladies start taking their clothes off.
Really, it’s a pity that the first few minutes had to be so bad, as there are some really nice ideas that this film introduces. Unlike many other productions from the same genre, the protagonist is not as static and there’s even some vertical scrolling (which implies that you’re getting down on your knees to get a closer look at the ladies’ butts), accompanied by zooming (as you’re supposedly getting closer to watch how the babes kiss). These are some really nice additions to the world of VR porn, and even though they aren’t used for the first time ever, their aesthetic is definitely unique, appealing, and exciting. It’s something that you would do if you were there and it feels really natural, but it contrasts the upcoming action that remains faithful to the established recipe of first-person numbness. Hopefully, this filming technique will be used much more in the future, as it’s pretty effective.

However, once the angle becomes static, you’re in for a real treat! You lie on a bed opposite from the other guy and receive the special attention of the two brunettes. “Happy new year!”, says the tall Hungarian babe Loren Minardi right before reaching to your penis and beginning to lick its tip. Seeing her get all fired up, act wildly and moan loudly is definitely a highlight of this film. It can be affirmed that her horny and slutty attitude make up for the sloppy film opening.
This blonde looks so pretty and hot that you will barely notice how Rebecca gets nailed from behind on the opposite side of the room. Cecilia’s chemistry with Loren is wonderful and you can see some sparks between them. It only took a little patience to allow the events to kick off and everything got better.
What follows is rather predictable, but still incredibly satisfying: it’s Loren’s turn to ride the meat pole and she proves that she’s quite a worthy nymph with her intense and fast paced-pounding, as well as her primal moans. I’m not sure if it’s a fortunate or a disappointing turn of events, but the switch back to the blonde darling Cecilia Scott is made rather quickly, as the latter angel will sit on top of you and rub her vagina hard. In the meantime, you will notice how the other guy in the room pounds Rebecca in doggystyle position. It’s a reminder that there’s still one lady left for you to enjoy and a way to make you anticipate what comes next.

Reviewing “New Year’s After Party” has really left me with a bittersweet taste in my mouth: it starts out in a very tedious, dull, and uninteresting matter, with bad acting and meaningless laughter that’s probably supposed to cover up the poor English the actors speak. As I’ve previously mentioned, this is the fault of those who produced and edited the film. Clearly, there are some really good directing intentions and the moving POV camera to better observe the ladies’ looks and actions is a really great implementation of the VR capabilities. Somehow I wish the film benefited from a wiser production team, because the action compensates for the bad opening. However, somebody who puts on the VR headset and watches 2 minutes of pointless champagne drinking, silly acting, and laughter is very likely to just switch to something else that really builds an atmosphere and creates a believable level of immersion. This early flaw creates a disconnectedness or alienation, if you may, between the user and his virtual avatar. It will be harder to identify with the muscular guy if you’re just thrown in the middle of a party that doesn’t really make you feel welcome.
You better take some notes for future productions, Reality Lovers! With all the great Christmas and New Year productions by Naughty America, VR Bangers, Badoink, Virtual Taboo, Wankz VR, and Virtual Real Porn (all of which have been reviewed in previous blog posts), there are certainly lessons to be learned from every one of them. “Merry XXXmas and a Naughty New Year” featured actors who speak English just as bad, but the editing and production have made sure that this tiny detail becomes completely irrelevant.

If it had better editing and a more polished productions, it could have achieved much more. However, it’s doomed to receive little attention and have a moderate success. Hopefully, the lessons will be learned for the films that are yet to come and next year I will be reviewing a mind-blowing New Year special. But at this point, I can’t rate it any higher than 7 out of 10. It’s the kind of film that gets better as it progresses, but few people have that kind of patience when there are objectively better alternatives around.
