Conclusions: continued from earlier posts…
The first series of the virtual reality porn experiments was a resounding success. The participants all enjoyed the experiments and expressed interest in returning for future sexuality experiments. Acting more as a baseline experiment, “Testing our Sexuality” has provided several interesting insights that I will discuss here. These insights relate to the non-transformation of the sexuality of each subject, the nonarousal of test subjects, and the enhanced sexual realism that subjects attributed the 1p being used in these experiments.
Stable Sexuality
As this first series of tests focused on understanding and defining the sexual orientation of test subjects, understanding if they were telling the truth or if their sexual orientations were correctly defined was important. With this in mind, I surveyed each test subject before and during the use of virtual reality porn. The latter half always occurred while each subject was under the influence of the 1p. For the most part, these tests showed that the subject’s pre-test sexual orientation aligned with their VR porn orientation. In other words, neither the 1P nor the virtual reality porn changed the sexual orientations of the test subjects.
Only one test subject (test subject 4) appeared to show a shift from pre-test surveys. Perhaps, in this case, the 1p instigated an overall state of arousal which made almost any content enjoyable for said test subject. Overall these results are good. As a whole, the results of these tests show that 1p and immersive VR porn does not radically change a person’s sexual orientation.
No Arousal
In one case (test subject 3), one of the test subjects showed no arousal or sexual interest towards the virtual reality porn content. It is my hypothesis that this reaction occurred not because of the administered 1p (the test subject had experience with this before). Instead, nonarousal occurred because of the virtual reality content itself. In relation to this, my secondary hypothesis is that the test subject did not have enough experience with the virtual reality technology itself. As a result, test subject 3 was more focused on the virtual reality medium rather than the pornographic content itself. I believe that after virtual reality becomes a mainstream technology, occurrences like this will be rare.
1P and the Realism of VR
I think that one of the most interesting and revealing elements of these tests were the effects of the 1P hallucinogen and how they changed the test subjects experience of virtual reality. Because I found this to be so interesting, further research will explore this relationship… That said, overall, all test subjects said that 1P heightened the realism of the virtual reality content. Of course, it made each subject hallucinate while seeing brighter colors, experiencing synesthesia, and more.
Despite providing psychedelic hallucinations, the 1P appeared to reduce conscious expectations about the reality of the VR porn content. As a result, each test subject was, for the most part, more open to viewing virtual reality porn as another reality instead of as a form of media. This finding has many implications for other types of experiments. Potentially, when used in tandem, virtual reality and 1P could provide me the ability to test reactions of my test subjects in a variety scenarios that can not be done in regular nonvirtual reality circumstances. Future experiments are coming soon!

Yeah I wish I could try psychedelic + vr porn, but my brain has had enough. Weed + vr porn is still pretty cool though 🙂

so clearly 1P influenced their behavior, I am interested to know more that what exactly happens.
