An Honest Critique of Lexi Belle’s VR Debut: “Hole in One”

I remember watching Lexi Belle as a teenager. I fell in love with her curvy body, the way she worked it in front of the camera and her cute Powerpuff-girl voice.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who felt this way about her. Anyone who’s watched porn in the last 10 years has most likely heard of her. At the time, she was one of my favorite pornstars. However, as I grew older and started to get more experimental with porn, I fell out of the loop of her career.

I recently came across a virtual reality porn scene starring Lexi and I found that there is actually a website dedicated to Lexi Belle’s VR porn. So, I’m deciding that I will review every single scene featured on that website in a multi-part series… all two of them. God knows why there is an entire website dedicated to two scenes. Things get even weirder when you see that there’s an option to view 7, 15 or even 25 scenes per page of results.

So enough talk. Today’s review will be of the scene ‘Hole in One’ from WankzVR featuring Jenna Sativa and Lexi Belle. If you happen to have access to the full scene, I’ll provide timestamps so you can follow along at home. Also, as a side note, the way I’ll approach this review is as a critique, outlining things right and wrong with the scene and saying how I think it should be fixed if necessary. If you were hoping for an erotic rundown of the main events and the exact moments where I blew my load…sorry, maybe next time?

Setting and Premise

First of all, the setting doesn’t look that bad. It’s filmed outside in what appears to be someone’s backyard. The first shot takes place on a golf green with a nearby hole (the golf hole I mean). There appears to be a trampoline in the distance on the left and a simple white house on the right. The sun is shining with lots of nice natural light coming through into the frame. I’ve seen much worse settings than this for porn.

The premise of the scene has the viewer as a golf instructor. Your role, other than waiting for the scene to escalate, is to help these beautiful women, Jenna Sativa and Lexi Belle, in their golf technique. Jenna and Lexi do try to make a real effort to interact with the camera. At one point Lexi makes a golf pose and asks “How’s my form? Am I doing it right?” to which I mumble “I don’t fucking know.” Our silent protagonist, however, stays silent.

My jaw drops when both ladies manage to get the ball to the hole first try. Jenna actually sinks it first try. Lexi would have sunk it, but some dummy left the flag in the hole during the shot. Jenna even has a line that I believe should have won her the AVN award for female performer of the year: “Do you want to play with my balls?” (1:25).

After the foreplay, the girls get down and dirty on the golf green. After a while, the girls run off to continue on what appears to be an outdoor bed or cushioned area? (I don’t know what you would call it. Tell me I’m an idiot down in the comments!) (10:45).

The Camera

Both this scene and the Pool Rules scene were reviewed using a PlayStation VR headset. That being said, the visual quality of this scene is awful. For a scene I had to pay for, I would expect that the quality would be head and shoulders above my iPhone 5 camera. It’s a little better, but not what I was hoping for.

Any porn director will tell you that the most important aspect of a scene is the camera. If the viewer can’t see the action, then what’s the point?

In the first shot, in particular, I really struggled to see while wearing my headset. This is in part because it’s a voyeur scene, meaning that you’re outside the action and watching it from a distance which is fine. However, it seems like the frame of the scene has been compressed both horizontally and vertically. Jenna and Lexi both look like dwarves fingering each other and the adjacent house looks about the size of a miniature dollhouse. To make matters worse, the ground cuts off just in front of the camera’s position, so it looks like you’re floating in a black void watching the scene take place.

Hot Moments

Both Lexi and Jenna are a bit lackluster in this scene. It all just seems a bit rehearsed and a little less fluid than I would have liked. It does have some really hot moments though which I will go ahead and list off.

Some general comments first. In shot one, I don’t feel that the lying down positions worked in this type of porn. The camera is fixed some distance away and the quality is too horrible to see Jenna’s and Lexi’s pussy in any reasonable detail. They should have stuck to standing positions in this shot. The lying down positions (cunnilingus, 69, facesitting etc) all work better in the second shot where the camera is closer to the action.

I also need to talk about that transition between the two shots (10:44). In VR, there are certain things you can’t do. Having the actresses run away into the distance so that the viewer’s focus moves into the background, then quickly fading into a close/mid-shot of your two actresses asses is one of those things. I almost peed myself. It’s an idea that sounds great on paper but just doesn’t work in practice. That being said, let’s get to the stuff I liked.

Shot One – The Golf Green

• 7:32 – Jenna bends over away from the camera while Lexi spreads Jenna’s tight ass cheeks and faces the camera. I’m a real fan of when the performers in VR porn, especially in a voyeur scene, talk directly to the viewer. It makes me feel like I’m part of the scene.
• 8:25 – Lexi, while fingering Jenna: “I definitely got… a hole in one”. Roll credits
• 8:36 – Both girls are standing, pressed against one another and facing the camera with Jenna fingering Lexi from behind. One thing I always love about lesbian scenes is when there is a lot of skin to skin contact. A voyeur VR scene is an excellent category of porn to exploit this sort of position.

Shot Two – The Bed (seriously I have no idea what that thing is)

• 15:20 – Lexi pulls glass dildo out from stage left, saying “I got something you’ll love,” and begins to thrust the dildo in and out of Jenna’s pussy using her mouth. This was a really great idea to add a bit of variety to an otherwise monotonous scene.
• 17:02 – Lexi, while pumping the dildo in and out of Jenna’s pussy: “Don’t cum yet, don’t you dare cum… not yet…” Me: “TOO LATE… ARGGHHHHHHH…”
• 23:11 – While Lexi is cumming, Jenna moves her mouth on Lexi’s pussy. Lexi, clearly overwhelmed, proceeds to make a series of vocalizations which could only be described as cutely giggling, gasping, hiccuping and sighing all at the same time while repeatedly saying “Oh god, oh shit!”
• 23:38 – Jenna sits on Lexi’s face while Lexi looks at the camera from beneath. I loved the way this position was framed, with Lexi clearly licking the shit out Jenna’s pussy.
• 28:18 – Jenna offers me a taste of the glass dildo. I move my head towards it. It moves away. #VRproblems.

A Note on the Scissoring Position

Lesbians tribbing is one of my favorite positions to watch. When done correctly, it can be a very hot display of coordination and sensuality between the girls (even if it doesn’t feel all that wonderful from what I hear). In my opinion, a tribbing position on film is done well when both vulvas are in view of the camera, both girls look at each other and they move in complete coordination. This position was the final sex position of the scene (26:05) and it was done very poorly.

As the finale of the scene, I would’ve expected it to be nice and long but no. They dedicated about 60 seconds to it. To those of you about to comment about how exhausting tribbing is, please, I can hold a wall sit for more than 60 seconds. The length is not the only problem here. Jenna started to hold Lexi’s skirt so I couldn’t see the action, they were looking in random directions throughout with zero passion and they don’t appear to actually be rubbing vulvas, just moving them simultaneously. I didn’t actually see much of it as Jenna’s thigh was in the way. As a finale, this really brought down the whole scene for me.

Final Thoughts

I can’t help but think this scene has a lot of wasted potential. The scene is outside, the VR is voyeur based (adding a lot more scope to the viewer) but all Jenna and Lexi do are standard sex positions that we’ve all seen a thousand times in non-VR scenes. The open space of the golf green should lend itself to more exotic sex position and more outside the box thinking. Hell, I would’ve even accepted a naked cartwheel. The added scope of VR adds nothing to the scene. It would’ve been the same scene if it hadn’t been VR. The scene has moments where it shined but more attention needs to be paid to the potential VR brings.

That being said, this isn’t just the fault of the performers. The camera work was sub-par. The camera was set up weird, especially in the first shot where the performers look like fucking dwarves and nothing is stopping you from falling into a black bottomless pit down the y-axis of the scene. The image quality was horrible, preventing a clear view of the action.

If this scene was a game of golf, I’d probably give it a double bogey. Not a great VR debut for Lexi. Here’s to hoping things get better for her second scene “Pool Rules” with BadoinkVR.
