The Thrill Of The Hunt
Everyone here knows the satisfaction of finding the right scene after a long virtual reality porn search. BaDoinkVR is addressing this issue with the introduction of their latest site feature called “Theater Mode.” The primary goal of theater mode is to eliminate the need for users to remove their phone from the headset while browsing and streaming VR content. It also aims to reduce the necessity of manual controls through the introduction of gaze-tracking technology that allows you to navigate without using your hands. By organizing all of these features into a luxurious 3D environment, BaDoinkVR hopes to bring back the browsing pleasure that some feel was lost when porn went VR. This should also work on VRCosplayX, a BadoinkVR property.

Theater mode doesn’t require any additional installations or downloads and should work with your mobile phone right out of the box. The new mode can be found in one of two ways. The first and most direct way to access the mode is to go to the main menu on the BaDoinkVR website where you can select “VR Theater.” The second method is found on the site’s “video” page where you will see a pink colored pop-up along the bottom of the screen that prompts you to begin “VR Theater Mode.”

Once inside the theater mode, you can control pretty much everything with your eyes. This not only includes browsing the menu system but also playing and pausing videos. If Bruce Wayne watched VR porn, I’m pretty sure this is how he’d do it. The video thumbnails are arranged in a 3d space that resembles the home of a playboy billionaire. Everything from the post-modern paintings on the wall to the minimalist architecture along the ceiling project an overwhelming sense of masculine luxury.

The video grid fits the theme well and presents the scenes in a nice, clean interface. A series of thumbnails and their accompanying titles hover neatly in the center of the room with a simple “back” and “forward” button on either side. Beneath the grid lies a placement indicator displaying exactly how deep into the library you are.
Taking The Time
BaDoinkVR’s theater mode may still only be in beta, but it’s already a significant upgrade over the site’s previous browsing interface. Any amount of time the user has to spend fiddling with hardware is less time they have for fiddling themselves and BaDoinkVR seems to recognize this fact. Most people probably spend much more time browsing for porn than they do actually jerking off to it so it’s nice to see VR studios like BaDoinkVR taking the time to improve this important aspect of the porn experience.

I’m really glad to read this, finally taking out the phone for browsing video is gone, it was such a pain in the ass.
