Put all that goodness in VR, load it up with good content, build a compelling character and you’re bound to strike gold.
Though I have to admit: I have been avoiding writing any opinion piece regarding Fallen Doll for quite a while now. I’ve always loved the game on a flat screen. It’s just the game’s previous VR builds were always laced with pesky issues that warranted the developers attention. So… did anything change?
Fallen Doll’s latest 1.18 and 1.18.5 updates are the catalysts that this game needed. It shows that the Project Helius developers care about the platform and are dedicated to make Fallen Doll a solid VR title. It is true that the virtual reality rendition of the game is currently lacking a lot of the game play aspects of the monitor version. But I am optimistic that won’t be the case for long.

Also, the controls aren’t the best right now. They were quite limiting and took me a few play sessions to get used to. There is no POV mode and the UI needs some work. And finally, the game lacks interactive features such as breast fondling with your motion controllers The closest thing is the 1.18.5 Alpha, where you can use your motion controllers as whips to discipline Erika into being a good dirty whore. Experiences like that should be the developers number one priority!
Hopefully, as demand for the virtual reality version ramps up, these kinks can get fixed in a future update.
New Beginnings

That on it’s own should be incentive to better the game. It’s also the only thing Fallen Doll has over similar and far superior games like Play Home & Honey Select.
Fallen Doll’s latest update is the first “virtual reality porn game” worthy rendition. It’s got a lot of content, supports both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive motion controllers, and most importantly is a fun debauchery filled sex escapade. It still has some major UI and controls issue, but the developer reassured me that kinks like that would be ironed out in upcoming updates. As soon as those updates come out, I’ll be sure to go over them as well. For now, it’s still a work in progress; albeit, one worth watching.
