Let me just get this out of the way, I don’t typically blog, but someone said I should, Sorry if this reads like an instruction manual, but here goes.
This post is a collection of a few things you should know about VR in general and VR porn. Skip about 3/4ths if you already have a good idea what’s out there and are just looking for some additional free content. Otherwise, read on. Heck, read it anyways, you might learn something.

So, you’ve bought an HTC Vive or an Oculus rift or you’re either expecting or got one for Christmas. You’ve been around a bit checking out various porn sites and looking for good VR experiences yet you find things a bit underwhelming or just buggy. Perhaps you’ve stumbled on this site and can’t figure out how to watch the video’s in your browser and are frustrated with having to download everything, play it back in a media player in SBS mode and thing’s don’t just look right. You’ve tried videos, a few games, and you’re just having a hard time getting things to work the way you think they should and VR porn is a disappointment. Fear not, here’s a few handy tips to help fellow virtual reality owners out. I’m not saying this stuff won’t work for the rift, in fact, most of it will. However, as I only own a Vive, that’s the platform and experience I have to work with.
THE FIRST thing we need to cover is “NECESSARY SOFTWARE”. Yes, you just spent almost a grand on a VR headset and even more on a decent computer. However, VR is still in it’s infancy. There’s plenty of content, but it’s not all integrated yet and we need a way to access it. As a Vive owner, you’re going to wind up with Steam. It’s an excellent place to start. Sure, steam launches the dashboard and let you play some good games in VR, but now you’re ready for porn! You’ve found some and it looks.. Screwy? What gives? Well, you need a couple things… A video player for one.
- Virtual Desktop. – Found through steam – $15, Virtual Desktop allows you to do a bunch of different things. For starters, it allows you to easily integrate 3d movies and video into your Vive, but that’s not all. It also projects a virtual seated environment in to your headset as well. This is great as it pertains to 3d porn found online. There’s also another great feature. Up at the top, there’s tabs for 360 Photo’s/Videos. The 360 Video’s tab is the section that I want to point out. Or more specifically, the little red/white button that says “Paste URL”. For VR Porn, that button is worth it’s proverbial weight in gold. Simply navigate to any video here on VRporn.com, highlight the link, copy it, and click that little paste url button. You may have to click the bubble setting for 180/360 video to suit the video, but it loads the video right into your headset. No more screwing around with having to download a file, load it in a media player, and then use the media player to run it in 3d SBS mode which causes that fisheye distorted view of the actresses arms and legs as they get closer to the camera. You’re going to need a program to handle 3d video and 180/360* 3d video. Bigscreen is a free alternative, but it does not appear to support the 180/360 video which you need in order to get the most out of videos on VRporn. If you know of one, please post it in the comments section! Yeah, it sucks to have to pay more to use what we have, but this is a necessity. Good news, it works for Rift owners too!
2. Now, there may be an issue going on with Virtual Desktop and the drag/drop or copy/paste method of video playback in the near future. Several sites, including VRporn.com are working on a new type of media player that will allow us to watch video FOR FREE! Without having to use a program like Virtual Desktop!!! The best part is, it’s supposed to be able to handle the 180/360 formats as well.. *Currently*, it does not, so there’s a bit of distortion, but it’s free and it’s a work in progress. This can be fixed by downloading the video and playing it back in 180/360.
- Vorpx. – www.Vorpx.com – $40, Vorpx is NOT necessary to watch video’s on websites. Vorpx is a program that allows games to be injected into VR. Games like Fallout, Skyrim, and pretty much anything else that runs on DirectX. It’s difficult to use, but the results can be really impressive when it’s done right. So what does Vorpx really do, and why is it worth the $40 you have to spend on it, can we work around it, and why is it necessary for porn? Vorpx is a VR driver/emulator. It works by taking a 3d game and rendering it on the fly in 3d. It’s processor intensive and can be a real bear to set up. You may or may not have noticed that there’s quite a few “adult” mod’s out for both Fallout 4, Skyrim, and the Witcher 3. Now that SkyrimSE (Note, many mods are still being ported to the new version) is out and running on a new 64 bit engine, Vorpx has actually become a reasonably smooth method for running those games in VR. Add in a couple mods like the Bathing Beauties Luxury Suite, Music and dancing in the Luxury Suite, Animated Prostitution, and some high res bodies and textures like UNP, nude of course… And you’ve got yourself a nice little seated or room scale porn studio right in the middle of your living room. Plus, when you tire of watching the bathing beauties you can always run out and slay another dragon or two. Or drop a brown load in your pants when you realize how HUGE they are.. Well, perhaps this isn’t appropriate for the living room. I set mine up in the garage. Yes, Vorpx is going to become obsolete within probably two years. No, there’s nothing else out there that does the same thing. And do you really want your new VR headset to be a paperweight for the next 2 years? This also works for Rift owners as well!
THE SECOND thing we need to cover is the perspective issues and problems, of which there are 5. That being 3d, 180* 3d, 360* 3d, Seated, and Room Scale. Each level brings the immersion one step closer to real life, and let’s face it. VR is all about immersion. However, we still need to understand a few things about the different formats that are out there right now. You’ll save yourself some pain and annoyance by understanding how to compensate for the differences. Fair warning, a lot of companies are playing with experimental tech, so sometimes things that used to work, suddenly quit working the way they used to or get messed up.
- Generic 3D. Generic 3d is a nice baseline for 3d Video. It’s typically shot in a side by side format although occasionally you will find it in an over and under format. This is the basic video that you are capable of watching on any 3d capable device. It looks great in a headset, however, without a virtual theater such as Virtual Desktop, it’s going to get annoying pretty quickly. Especially because when you turn your head to look at something going on on one side of the screen and then back to the other side of the screen, everything moves. You’ve probably noticed that already. If you haven’t found a fix, Get Virtual Desktop, and watch your video’s in a “Virtual Theater”. The experience is much better and actually quite like going to a theater once you get in to the movie.
- 180* 3D. This is the format that most VR porn is shot in. It offers a pretty high resolution and an excellent view of the action. You can remain seated and look up, down, left, right, and see what’s around you. Leaning forward or backwards still moves the “camera” position, but as long as you’re sitting on your couch or chair, you’re good. The benefits to this format are a much better image quality than the 360* 3d and smaller file size, which equates to less bandwidth and smoother streaming. This kind of video is best viewed in a player that can handle the 180* format. If you are having problems with videos having weirdly distorted arms and legs, or rounded screen edges, it’s probably because you’re watching a 180* video in a 90* flat screen arc. That being said, some videos are distorted because of the way the video was originally recorded. This is still a new technology, and the porn industry is still learning.
As you can clearly see by the red boxes, this is what VR distortion looks like. Here, you are seeing what a 180* video looks like when displayed on a flat 3d screen. Note the crazy long arms and shortened waist. In another example we see an even more noticeable level of distortion where the floor of the room caves in like a V, and the male’s chest looks like a steamroller drove over it. Fortunately, this is an easy fix, simply make sure your 3D settings are set to 180*. While this won’t “ALWAYS” fix every problem, it does make things a bit more tolerable. Also, if you can, try and lay or sit in the same general position of the actor. It makes the camera angle a bit easier to deal with.
- 360* 3D. This format is the more immersive of the three 3d formats. It allows you to look in pretty much any direction, including almost straight up and down. The problem with this format is that it requires a lot more pixels to fill the “screen” hence the files are a lot bigger. The only way to compensate for that is to reduce the image quality, which is generally where the sacrifice is made. If watching a video makes you feel like you’ve got tunnel vision, odd’s are, you’re watching a 360* video in either a 180* or 90* format. If you’ve got Virtual Desktop, the fix is a click away. If you’re using something like VLC or media player? Just.. Spend the $15 on steam to get a real video player and save yourself a headache. You can do a lot more than have an easy time experiencing porn on this site with it.
This next one was a bit trickier to show because I wasn’t sure how to display it, but this is what happens when you try and watch either Raw 360* video on a flat screen. The format is done in an over and under view. The small window on the right in the picture shows what it looks like when projected in a 180* format. My point with this is, just because your image is distorted, does not mean the fault lies with either you, or the video. Currently, there is no way for videos to “autodetect” their format.. Yet.. Just remember, this is the kind of distortion you CAN fix by adjusting a setting. While I can’t show what the 360* distortion looks like when displayed properly (The window view only shows so much detail), you’ll notice how it’s like watching grainy standard def video soon enough. Again, for 360 video, you’re better off downloading the highest res version of it available and waiting for the download to finish.
- Seated VR. So, you’re sitting on your couch or at your desk and the world suddenly vanishes. You are right in the middle of all the action. How is this different from 360* video? Simple. When you move around a little bit, the world doesn’t move with you. You can stand up, squat down, turn around, even move from side to side a bit. The world stays put, not you. This is real VR. So now how to get to the porn? Several ways. I previously mentioned Vorpx. Vorpx is designed to give you a seated experience. It takes your 3d games and injects you in to them. Got a hot naked axe wielding barbarian elf dancing around on a table in Skyrim? Great.. While watching a 180* or 360* video, you’d be stuck in your chair. Not anymore. With Vorpx, because it creates the world in 3d, you can move around that world. Want to see what some elf ass looks like? Walk behind her and take a peek. Want to get a closer look at that great set of tits? Walk up and stick your face in them. Well, perhaps not too close, otherwise your view will clip through them. Hey, it’s a mod and Skyrim, like many games, were never programmed with character collision and detection. Prefer titties with a more post-apocalyptic feel? Well, you can do the same thing with Fallout 4. Yes, Fallout 4 is supposed to be getting a VR remake. When or if that ever happens, great. In the mean time, you can play a lot more than just Fallout 4.
- Room Scale VR. Now this is what VR was meant to be. This is not video. This is a true 3d environment where you can get up, walk around the room, and interact with and look at things from any angle. This is where VR porn is going to shine. Why watch 2 hot chicks go down on each other from one static position? Ever wish the damn camera man would move just a hair to the left or the right to give you a better view? Perhaps you didn’t want a particular scene to end quite so soon or thought a star would look better in a different outfit? Maybe you wanted a real first person view. Well, I’ll give you a list of programs out that allow you to have just that at the end of the article. Some of them can be found on this site right here. Others, you’re going to have to search and dig for. Of course, simply knowing about them helps a lot.
Now, we know what kind of experience we’re looking for and how to fix some of the common issues with watching VR porn. But where do we get a real room scale VR experience? I mean let’s face it, we didn’t just spend almost a grand just to sit and watch from a fixed position and after spending a ton of money, it would sure be nice to find some free stuff too. Of course, you’ve probably already checked google and seen the top 10 listings and what not that point you to all manner of different sites. Well, It’s a good thing you came to this site, and read this blog, because there’s free stuff right here. On this site for starters, and of course, Google is always your friend. Just do a simple search on the bold text.
- Waifu Sex Simulator by LewdFraggy, (Currently V1.9) This is a VR Script and animation loader by a really talented guy who’s doing the work himself. It’s room scale, features a whole ton of options which I can’t figure out for the life of me, yet still provides quite a bit of entertainment with several well known anime characters. It’s based off of some mocu mocu dance engine which I know nothing about. That being said, bring up the menu, scroll down to Etc, click on load scene and away you go. More are being added all the time.
- Galactic VRA by VRAnimeTed, This is a VR environment. It’s room scale and you can walk around exploring his latest creations. His animation work is excellent and he’s always adding new content.
- Eva Galaxy Evolution by DevRifter, This is a room scale environment, but the developer has taken a different path. Rather than using just the wands to interact with the environment he’s chosen to go the route of voice recognition. There’s a bit of legwork involved to set it up, but it shows some serious potential for interacting with characters in a VR environment. Oh yeah, his models and animation look pretty great too. Especially the sun room.
- HoneySelect by Illusion, This is a room scale eh, club? Anyways, the whole premise of the “game” is that you design your ideal girlfriend and then pretty much fuck her brains out. Pick out her hair, her clothes, the location and go to work. From a VR perspective this is live-action porn right in the middle of your livingroom. Tired of looking at the guy? Click a slider and poof, he’s gone and the woman is left fucking a dildo. Click another box, and it’s gone. Sit in the right position and you can watch her suck and fuck you. Now, if only there was some way to get a VR mouth or pussy right? The visuals and physics on this are top notch and there is a very active modding community that is constantly updating things and adding new content to the game.
- Play Club by Illusion A slightly older version of HoneySelect with an actual story line, albeit a bit of a rapey one. Again, this is a full room scale porn experience. Get up, walk around, pose the actors in different spots and enjoy. One thing this offers as opposed to HoneySelect is the addition of an option to have two women.
- Sexy Beach Premium Resort by Illusion. Yet an even older version of Play Club and HoneySelect. The difference is here, you have an open world where you can run around and accomplish “quests” in the process. Go to a slum, fuck / get raped by the local doctor in her office, check out a strip club and watch some dancing, or just run around stabbing bums. Just, try not to get dizzy or sit down on furniture that isn’t actually there. – Check hongfire for english translation, VR loader and un-censor patch.
- Custom Maid 3d 2 also known as CM3D2 by KISS. Ever wondered what it would be like to run a brothel? Create your own anime maids from a huge selection of basic models with hundreds of different variables, train them by screwing them repeatedly in a ton of different positions, and whore them out. Pay off your debt and hire more maids. The characters are totally anime, but they still look good.
One thing to note, as with anything by Illusion, it is Japanese software and you will need some kind of AppLocale in order to run it as well as translation patches. Unless you’re in japan and can read/write Japanese. Fortunately, there’s a very active modding community on the Hongfire website which already has everything you need to get these games up, running, looking good, and even a few friendly people to help you along the way if you have a question or two.
And one last thing….
Sometimes, things will just go wrong. No matter what you do, you can’t fix it or get it to look right. Here’s a couple examples.
Low res spots, curved walls that should be straight, insanely long legs and arms… This type of distortion in VR porn, is not always the fault of the site, it’s not faulty hardware, or an equipment or software issue on your end.
It’s just one of the things we’re going to have to deal with, so don’t beat yourself up too bad over it. This is caused by the camera lenses and improperly calculated parallax. That is, the cameraman simply messed up because he’s working with new technology too. It’s hard enough dealing with focal lengths in a 2d environment. It can also be caused by the 180/360* 3d camera lenses still being very new and trying to use a fixed lense to focus on a dynamic view. Even your eyes themselves cause distortion when you’re not focusing on something specific. Not that any of us ever notice..

Virtual Desktop is what I use. It works really well and has options for dealing with all types of 3d, 180, and 360 playback and can adjust the screen parameters too. However, that being said, someone recently clued me in on a program called “Bigscreen” on steam that is FREE, It’s got a few different features, including a “multiplayer” type deal where you can hang out with some friends in VR. I was going to play around with it this weekend, but the premise is that you’re sitting around a bigscreen TV with your friends in a room or something hanging out and watching movies together or something. If it handles 180/360 video, i’ll be recommending it instead because it’s free.
