For those of you with an HTC Vive, get ready to be excited! A new motion tracking device is going to be released soon. HTC has simply named it the HTC Vive Tracker. It is a puck-shaped device that will extend the motion tracking capabilities of your HTC Vive headset. As of now, the HTC Vive system tracks your controllers in space and time to provide visuals that mirror what your arms are doing in the real world. With a different focus, the HTC Tracker aims to do pretty much the same thing. As I argue below, I think this device could make room-scale virtual porn experiences more…interactive. Let me explain why.
An Add-On
As an add-on device, the Tracker differentiates itself from the other VR controllers released so far. It has been designed to be used with any number of objects that developers wish to virtually track and represent within a given game or virtual reality experience. Of course, HTC has designed the Tracker with mainly gaming in mind.
Tracking Objects
So far, the tracker has only been used in a variety of demos and on showroom floors. These demos have used the Tracker to represent and track in-game tools that you interact with and hold. For example, prototype demos have demonstrated that it works well when it is placed at the nozzle of a fake gun. Because the HTC Vive system tracks the nozzle in 3d space, a virtual representation of a gun can be matched to where it is pointed. It also works well when placed at the base of a baseball bat. In an early demo of a virtual reality baseball game, the Tracker allows the Vive to model the exact way a user swings the bat.
Established Technology
In concept, this is very similar to the system that Sony uses with the PlayStation mMove (the glowing motion ball controllers). The PlayStation Move controller could be inserted into a gun adapter which was tracked in space using the PlayStation Eye camera. Although it has been primarily designed for gaming, adult developers could take advantage of the tracker as well. I can see this happening in two ways.
1) It could be attached to canned pussies
The first of these options would potentially open up some very exciting doors. By tracking the canned poon, a virtual character could more easily be manipulated by a user’s hands. As a result, the VR visuals could more easily make it appear users are directly fucking 3d models. In other words, the virtual representations would match exactly the placement and feeling of the canned pussy.
2) It could be attached to your hip
The second of such options could provide developers with another impressive tracking ability. If the tracker was attached a user’s hip (see a similar mod in video below), thrusting motions could be easily tracked and synced to a virtual avatar. Perhaps a combination of this kind of tracking would work best. The second option will be useful when virtual reality sex becomes a 2-way interactive multiplayer experience.
Potentially you can get one of the development versions of these Tracker suckas for free! HTC writes:
We are lending a limited number of Trackers to developers for free. Companies providing more detail in their application with clear goals on how they plan to use Tracker will have a higher chance to receive one of the developer kits. HTC VIVE reserves the right to recall the VIVE Trackers at our discretion.
