There is a flood of VR porn games hitting the market right now but, let’s be honest, a lot of them are garbage. That being said, there are still some that manage to stand out from the crowd. One adult VR game that recently caught my attention is called iCandy: The Prototype.
As the name suggests, the game is still in development and the public only has access to a basic prototype at the moment. Nevertheless, the game already exhibits a degree of craftsmanship that is surprisingly rare in the current market. You can tell the creators put a lot of care and attention into the little details that can make or break a VR experience. Something I wish more creators took the time to do. Even if iCandy doesn’t make you jizz just yet, it’s still the type of game that gets you excited about what virtual reality porn can offer. It stirs your imagination and opens your eyes towards the possibilities that are just on the horizon.
So many face options!
Character Customizability
There are a lot of things iCandy: The Prototype got right, number one on this list is character customizability. The game starts off with you selecting your partner. It was refreshing to see just how in depth the customization options were. The ability to select each individual body part and adjust the size and shape was genuinely thrilling. You get a rush of excitement when the realization dawns on you that you finally get to create the woman of your dreams. I literally gasped out loud when I discovered the nested menus within the main interface that allow you to adjust subtle details on the face like eye and chin shape.
Such a level of control makes it possible to even recreate the image of an ex-lover or celebrity crush if you were so inclined. And because the interface is so user-friendly, it doesn’t feel like a chore to play around with all the possibilities. I could have easily spent 30 minutes or more just creating the female character alone. All this time spent lovingly shaping the breasts and thighs only gets the user that much more emotionally invested in the scene once the action starts.
A slider for ass size.
One feature that really spoke to me personally was the option to adjust glute size. As a life-long ass man, the chance to watch the character’s butt and thighs expand as I moved the corresponding slider was almost surreal. Moving the bar back and forth I couldn’t help but wonder “Is this what it feels like to be a God?” Some people say that sexual arousal and feelings of power are closely related. Well, if that’s true, then what might that say about the experience of having absolute power over the object of your sexual desire? That strange and exciting place where passion and omnipotence finally intersect is something that iCandy toys with. Something that’s only made possible because of the expert level of control and customizability put into the character design.
Room Décor
One other positive feature that I can’t help but mention is the room décor. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the developers took some time to focus on some of the more subtle features of the gaming environment. Just because the game is about sex doesn’t mean that atmosphere isn’t important. The charming little bits of furniture and the pictures on the wall help contribute to an overall mood of warmth and intimacy that makes you willing to return to the game a second or third time.
Some Issues
Even with all the great features that the game has to offer, there is still a ton of room for improvement. Many of the problems with the game are already being addressed by the developers and are expected to be resolved once the full game launches. Still, there were some issues that weren’t even mentioned in the developer notes and that hopefully will see some attention in the future. The most glaring of these is the ability to rotate the character during the design process. It’s nice that you can move the camera up, down, and side to side but it’s not enough. You absolutely have to be able to spin the character around in order to appreciate the full range of customizable features. The fact that this isn’t readily available is a huge oversight by the development team in my opinion.
Universal nips are a bad thing.
The second issue that I have with the character design screen is that there is no option for adjusting nipple size. The nipples simply grow or shrink along with the rest of the breast with no ability to adjust independently. There is so much beautiful variation among women’s nips in the real world. Let’s not limit the selection to one-size fits all mammary gland, shall we?
The final issue I will mention is again breast-related. Here, my problem isn’t with the character design screen but with the actual sex scene. The simple fact of the matter is that the breast physics in the game are awful, just plain awful. I understand that physics is one of the harder elements to design in a game but this feature is just too important to neglect.
The breast physics during sex are a let-down
Regardless of how much time or effort it takes, it will always be worth it in CGI porn to get the flesh physics as realistic as possible. In the end, it’s primarily the shake, wobble, and roll that gets a guy excited visually, and without that, the game will always remain a novelty. Fortunately, the developers are already aware of this issue and have promised to improve upon this feature soon.
List of Future Features
As I suggested earlier, the developers are surprisingly open and communicative about this project. As a result, they’ve released a list of features that they’ve promised to include in the finalized version. A few of the most noteworthy are: alternate sex positions, hair style alteration options, and male character adjustment options. All three of these elements are absolutely essential to a virtual sex experience and it would be a shame if they didn’t eventually make it into the game. Especially considering how well done the initial elements have been executed.
Adding these few additional updates will take the game from a beautiful and promising demo to a fully-fledged erotic experience. I genuinely believe that these developers have the talent and vision necessary to create a truly revolutionary product. But the truth is there have been many other demos in the past that have promised the same thing. Let’s hope that this one is different.

Yeah I especially like how we can fully customize the face to look like a crush or something. That’s definitely a huge plus. I just hope it’s as easy as you say. I happen to waste a lot of time figuring out controls all the time. Will surely wait for this to launch.
