After previously establishing that, out of all the existing media, VR porn is the greatest, most immersive and most pleasuring way to enjoy a simulated or imagined sexual intercourse, it’s time to shine light on a very legitimate criticism on the nature of the content: it tends to be sexist.
However, before all of you conservatives and right wing-minded folks jump at my throat, please allow me to explain the meaning of the term. I’m not trying to present an argument which implies that women in porn are stripped of their dignity and subjugated in a very patriarchal, objectifying and misogynistic way. I don’t plan on sounding like a pretentious feminist either, as I tend to be egalitarian in pretty much every issue. In the case of sex workers, it’s their choice to get filmed on camera and I don’t mind it: their godly bodies make our existence a lot more bearable and we get through the day a lot easier if we get our daily fix of breath-taking beauty that gets ruined by thick penises.
However, after checking out a lot of productions and enjoying quality time with the Playstation VR headset on, I’ve come to the conclusion that VR porn simply doesn’t deliver too much content to straight women.
That’s right, this magical development of the POV porn genre is just too oriented towards the male audience. The studios that produce the content might have done their research based on the consumers, yet sometimes you have to create the demand yourself by supplying a high-quality product.
If you’re a horny female who wants to experience straight sex through the lenses of the VR headset, there really isn’t much for you to enjoy.
There’s a lesbian category which involves cunnilingus, strap-on action and lots of cuddling, there’s a special category for gay porn which allows you to watch muscular and sweaty men pounding each other, but the amount of porn to simulate your encounters is limited and hard to find.VirtualRealPorn has recently produced “The Prequel”, “Amor Andaluz”, and “Countryside Pool” – but these are the only titles I could find from this rare and underdeveloped niche.
Personally, I know plenty of ladies who would be eager to try VR porn and they would most likely look for the kind of POV experience that they actually have in real life: from having to stare at the guy’s nutsack during the blowjob to bouncing on top of the guy in a reverse cowgirl and looking back at the guy as she’s humping her from behind. These are all moments that put together the whole straight female experience during sex.
I’m well aware of the fact that women rely much more in imagination and like to fantasize instead of watching a film in which their body gets pounded with passion, but they’re still a target audience that shouldn’t be underestimated. Also, it’s true that the statistics and surveys done by Cosmopolitan and PornHub indicate that women prefer lesbian and gay porn over straight hardcore or bondage action, but the research was conducted for the plain and “classical” 2D porn. When using a VR headset, people have completely different expectations. I can imagine that women would like to see the perspective of a man who bangs a really hot woman, see what it’s like to have gay sex, or even have that satisfying lesbian experience that makes them moan.
From some perspectives, 2D porn is gender neutral: the camera operator and the directors pick whatever suits the scene. When a girl performs a hot and passionate blowjob, the camera will be on her face and will expose her body. Alternatively, when the guy seems to really enjoy the treat, his face is displayed just to better express what’s happening on the set. When the girl is on top, the angle is chosen to point out the female pornstar’s beautiful body, while also displaying the pleasure the man expresses.
But you get my point: since VR porn is in a staggering large majority a POV experience, then the studios should make sure they provide content for all the audiences.
The same PornHub research I previously referenced mentions that porn “for women” is the 4th more accessed category, while “gangbang” and “bondage” follow them in a top of 16 most preferred types of porn. How likely is it for average women to enjoy a gangbang or a true Fifty Shades of Grey-esque bondage screwing in their lifetime? I’d say that the odds are pretty low.
However, through the VR headset, they can get finally see what it’s like to be bound against a wall and whipped to pleasure, or shared by 4 or more men at the same time.
I personally know women who really get turned on by the idea of getting a bukkake, finding a penis inside a glory hole, or even getting rammed by a basketball team. One cannot affirm, in spite of all the statistics (which, as I said, are applicable to the more backwards 2D porn), that women wouldn’t want to experience these situations in the safety of their homes, without feeling that they cheat on their boyfriends or husbands, but with the specific quality and detail level that VR porn delivers.
So please, VR porn studios, make the right call and supply to this demand.
What VirtualRealPorn has done is truly admirable. However, it lacks support, promotion and not many women know about it. Why would they know about 3 obscure videos, anyway? What if they simply they don’t like the guy in the video and want something different? Maybe they want to fulfill their fantasy of trying big black cock.
If men can have incredible experiences with a bunch of desiring girls and can even choose between thousands of hours of footage until their expectations are met, then why can’t women benefit from the same privilege? VR porn isn’t designed to please only men and lesbians. Of course it’s a lot nicer to have a full display of the lady’s body since they are a lot more beautiful and women can admire them (while very few men admire the feats of a naked male who pounds a hottie).
But please, in the name of the very hip and somewhat progressive concept of diversity and for the purpose of capitalizing on the audience (and even extending it), please film straight content from the girl’s point of view. All of you straight ladies out there who wish for VR bukkakes, gangbangs, or even erotic action, please support me on this one. Together we can absolutely bring this change!

Great writeup, good to see mindful people analyzing the trends with this technology now that it’s moving into the mainstream.

This is a really great article about this topic. The word “sexist” has lost all meaning. Porn is naturally more geared towards men as their sex drive is more visually inclined. Just the way it is. Nature can’t be “sexist”.
