The recent episode of “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon is something you surely won’t want to give a miss. At his show, Jimmy Fallon recently introduced a new segment of Virtual Reality Pictionary by using the HTC Vive VR Headset along with Google’s Tilt Brush paint app.
Jimmy, the host of the show explained this fun task as “The game works exactly like Pictionary, except the person who’s drawing will be wearing one of these virtual reality headsets, and drawing in this 3D space using this program called Tilt Brush. We’ll be able to see their point of view through the virtual reality up on the big screen.”
Following the proceeds of this fun task, two teams were formed, Fallon has Andrew Rannells as his partner who was guest at the show while Tonight Show announcer Steve Higgins has “SNL” star Michael Ce by his side. The audience was then asked to pick a number card at the display. At the back of the number card was a word which was then to be drawn in 3D space using the Tilt Brush. Based on the image created on the screen at the back of the drawer, the guesser then needs to guess the word.
The set for the show seemed to have been very intentionally designed with two couches at the side and some space in the center giving the HTC Vive wearer a bit of free space. To the back is a huge screen displaying the VR view. It seemed that the show has spent some good amount of money in making all these arrangements come together and the same was hinted by Fallon saying the entire setup ‘cost a million dollars’.
As the competition kicked off, Jimmy was the first to don the HTC Vive headset. And what followed further is something you would like to see in the video and we don’t want to kill the fun by saying it all.
