The Virtual Reality (VR) industry never ceases to amaze me. This post is about one of those instances that goes to show you that VR is here and it is not going anywhere.
A well known porn studio, Vivid, has re-imagined a virtual reality experience that immerses you in the famous Kim Kardashian’s and Ray J sex tape.
Now I need to mention that VR is filmed in a very different way compared to traditional flat porn, and for that reason I had to question how a older celebrity sex tape could magically be made VR compatible and look good. I checked it out and it made sense.
The Experience:
In the beginning of the video, the VR viewer is found seated on a bed while watching the Kardashian sex tape on a screen contained in a physical room. After checking out the classic video for a few minutes, a Kim Kardashian doppelganger enters the shot and starts to talk to the viewer.
“Hi there, I like your room,” says the Kim Kardashian lookalike. “I know you bought the video because you wanna see me. Why don’t we just play here?”
The Kim Kardashian doppelganger then goes on to play with herself with a sex toy right before your eyes.
In total the Kim Kardashian VR experience has a run time of roughly 20 minutes and is available on Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard, and iOS.

There is no confirmation yet whether Kim Kardashian approved the video, but in all reality I am wondering what Kanye thinks.
What This Means for the Virtual Reality and Virtual Reality Porn:
This recreation is a testament to the ground that VR is gaining in the entertainment world. VR and VR porn is fascinating because it is new, something that is immersive and sexy, and goes beyond your traditional flat porn.
I cannot begin to imagine the amount of porn on the internet, but it is safe to say that you can find almost any sexy, hot and kinky experience your mind can imagine.
That cannot be said for VR porn. The amount of VR porn compared to flat porn is not even close in comparison. As mentioned earlier, this is because VR porn requires an entirely new kind of cinematography. The Kim Kardashian recreation just goes to show you that adult entertainment has been and wants to stay in the VR industry. It is to the point where they are taking older content that was popular and re-imagining it in VR.
The Reality of this Virtual Reality Experience:
My only grip about this video is that it is currently (from what I have seen) exclusive to Vivid. Which currently charges 19.97 a year for membership to their website. I know, it is a pretty penny for some Kim Kardashian, but I am sure a preview will pop up soon.
