While the entire VR Industry is talking a lot about the next generation of independent standalone VR headsets, I believe there will still be some time before they go mainstream. We have yet to see the first concrete, stand-alone, hardware-rich product to enter the VR consumer market.
For now, Virtual Reality headsets powered by powerful PC/Laptop engines (like Oculus Rift, PSVR, and HTC Vive) still dominate the majority of the VR market. So if you are planning to build your own virtual reality rig sometime soon, Lenovo has recently unveiled three new VR-Ready Desktops in its Legion line which are basically gaming series desktops that cater to the entire spectrum of casual players, mainstream players, and hardcore players.
However, they will certainly be useful for watching your favorite high-definition VR porn videos and games in action.
Lenovo’s VR-Ready Legion Towers
All three VR-Ready Lenovo Legion Towers come baked with the powerful 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7700K processor, Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GPU to cater to high-density-graphics requirements, and HDMI, USB 2 and USB 3 ports. Instant processing is taken care with the 32GB of 2800Mhz Corsair DDR4 RAM while a liquid cooling system helps facilitate CPU overclocking.
All the three desktops run the latest Windows 10 version and the Y520 Tower comes pre-loaded with a suite of Lenovo Programs and the Microsoft Office 2016.

Lenovo has categorized this as “Easy” Game Mode Desktop which features graphical power contribution done by AMD Radeon RX 560, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or 1060 GPU, the latter useful for providing entry-level VR experience. As for the new and first-hand beginners, this has got pretty decent specs with16 GB DDR4 RAM,256 GB SSD for storage and 2TB hard drive.
Buyers of the Legion Y520 Tower will also get access to the Lenovo Entertainment Hub which comes with additional goodies of several video-game titles.

The Lenovo Y720 Tower is middle tier variant of the Legion line and Lenovo claims that this rig is a suitable option for “mainstream players”. The Lenovo Y720 Tower comes with three different processing options of AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 or the 7th Gen Intel i7. Similarly, it offers two graphics processing options with the GeForce GTX 1070 or the Radeon RX 570. The memory options are similar to the Y520 with 16 GB DDR4 RAM,256 GB SSD for storage and 2TB hard drive.

The Lenovo Y920 Tower comes with beefy specs specifically designed for professional and hardcore gamers. This monster packs top-of-the-line GeForce GTX 1080 GPU for ultra-high graphic processing. However, you can trim down the costs by choosing either of the three GTX 1070, 1060, or Radeon RX 570 without a big compromise in performance. The memory options here gets a considerable boost over the above two with 32 GB of Corsair DDR4 RAM bundled either by two 512 GB SSDs or one SSD plus a 4 TB HDD. The Y920 Tower comes with an optional liquid cooling system to handle CPU overclocking.
With all these customisation and specification options, the Legion series offers the right choice to VR enthusiasts and satiates their power-processing thirsts for an ultimate immersive VR experience. Whether you’re interested in virtual reality porn or the latest video games, these desktops are a great way to experience the best of what VR has to offer.
