What does VR Desktop for Mac offer?
The main motivation for Cindori to create this application was to create a virtual multi-monitor workspace. This means that Oculus Rift users having this app will be able to interact with the MacOS and thereby create their own virtual scenes by using an entire VR desktop.

Apart from this, by using this application, Rift Owners will be able to create custom virtual environments for games and movies. Cindori says that their application allows users to create “a giant curved screen in space” and enjoy true and actual cinematic and gaming experience on virtual large screens.

Beating the early skepticism about MacOS on Oculus Rift
Facebook-owned Oculus has been working to get the Mac support on its Rift headset since May 2015. Cindori says that “There [have] been many naysayers ruling out Mac as a VR platform. We’re here to prove that Macs are capable of useful VR applications. VR Desktop works on modern Macs with discrete graphics cards.”
Basic Requirements and Future Plans
For using this VR Desktop for Mac application, you need to be running a MacOS 10.11 or higher on Mac PC/Laptops and the latest Oculus Rift Development Kit 2. Cindori is currently planning to extend this support on the HTC Vive Platform ahead this year along with a consumer version of the Rift headsets.
