As virtual reality increases in popularity, more and more consumers will buy headsets which will allow VR companies to lower the prices of hardware and software. Within a couple of years, virtual reality tech will become a mature technology, and at this point, more consumers will get their hands on headsets. At this critical juncture, the demand for VR content will increase as well. This will have the effect of lowering virtual reality production costs.
Currently, it is quite expensive to produce virtual reality videos and 3d interactive content. These trends may be why there is a dearth of Amateur virtual reality porn content. That said, there are some low-cost ways for users to produce virtual reality amateur porn. I will detail the solution here. I will explain why amateur videos are impossibly expensive to make using conventional virtual reality video technology to help you understand why I am proposing these alternate solutions.
The Expensive of Making Virtual Reality Porn Content
To make virtual reality porn, most adult content studios use pricey 360 cameras. Some adult virtual reality companies use expensive 3d 360 cameras which are even more expensive. For example, the GoPro Omni All Inclusive, Spherical 360, Model Hero 4 6 Camera runs 5,000 dollars.
There is also the Nokia OZO camera which costs a mere $60,000! Beyond camera costs, 360 and 3D 360 content requires expensive powerful computers to edit. Beyond the cost of the computer and cameras, virtual reality video content has a huge time-cost associated with editing, mastering, and filtering content.
All of this adds up to costs that are prohibitive for amateur VR porn producers. As I previously mentioned, I have found a few creative solutions which would enable amateur virtual reality porn producers to make content at a low cost. Users will still need a beefy computer and some time to edit their content. Experience with the Unity engine is also necessary. To help amateur virtual reality porn directors and producers get their start, I did a bit of research on affordable 3d video solutions. My research led me to the Microsoft Kinect Version 2 and the software called Mimesys.
Kinect Version 2
Although an unconventional choice, the Kinect is one of the cheapest 3d video cameras around. The set up I am proposing will require a Kinect Version 2 (unfortunately the old Xbox 360 Kinect will not work for this). As can be seen in the picture above, a used Microsoft Kinect Version 2 will only run you around 60$ dollars if you get it from eBay.

Because it was made for games, the Kinect Version 2 does not come with the software that you need to make 3d virtual reality video. That said, a company called MimesysVR has created a software solution that uses the Kinect Version 2 camera to capture 3d video. The 3d video can then be used in a game engine like Unity. Currently, their software is free. Although Mimesys software is still early in development, it shows great promise.
Kinect + Mimesys + Unity = Amateur 3D VR Porn!
Using this software with the Kinect, 3D video can be captured and used for 3d virtual reality-ready playback or in a 3d engine like Unity. Amateur VR porn producers could use this set up to capture their actors doing the dirty and import the 3d video into the Unity Engine. To hide 3d video imperfections, a user’s movement could be limited so to keep only the best side of the capture in the user’s view. Using the combination of the Kinect, the Mimesys video capture software, and Unity, users would potentially have a huge amount of freedom to create a wide variety of virtual reality porn experiences.

Good explanation for creating Amatuer 3D VR Porn content…. I hope the industry cost of these cameras come down soon that would ultimately benefit the viewers with more and better content.

bro, seriously the cost is very high, I guess one gopro costs around $300 and fixing so many cameras to make this is an expensive job.
