In a the past few months, I have put together a series of tips and guides for aspiring virtual reality porn directors. These guides provide the best software tools and best cameras for making your own virtual reality porn content that you could upload right here on VRPorn.com.
I even wrote a guide that shows readers how to make VR porn content using Grand Theft Auto 5. Capturing 3d content in a form that could provide spherical 360 video was the most difficult part. This is all changing with Facebook’s new 360 capture SDK.
Thanks to Facebook, there is a great official tool that will allow users to capture 360 content from 3d games and 3d modeling simulations. I am talking about it here because it can potentially be used to make CGI virtual reality porn. Beyond making it easier than previously shitty stitching methods, this setup will also make your content look sharper, less hacky, and show fewer seams while providing better 3d depth effects.
I am sure all you aspiring virtual reality porn directors are now thinking, how does this work? How can I get this working?
360-Capture
First of all, I will provide a bit of background on 360-Capture SDK. This is important because it can only do a few very specific tasks. On Facebook’s GitHub page, 360-Capture SDK is summarized as “This is a developer focused SDK that allows game and virtual reality developers to be able to easily and quickly integrate 360 photo/video capture capability into their applications.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8blFcMMZ10&feature=youtu.be
This means that this SDK does not act as a 3d content producing engine like Unity or React VR. Instead, it is just a VR 360 capture tool. This means you can capture 360 videos of virtual environments as a player moves around or does nasty pervy things 3d environment. This would work well for making virtual reality CGI porn because a player’s character position viewpoint becomes a 360 camera.
Unity
A first-person adult sex simulator in Unity could be turned into a tool for making virtual reality porn. The SDK toolkit would allow a full 360 degrees to be captured instead of the regular 90 degrees that a player or user sees when actually playing or using such an app. Normally, screen recording apps will capture only what a player or user is looking at.
180 works, but 360 is Better
Using traditional screen recording apps, a 90-degree sliver of the action is recorded. 90 degrees is not enough to record and produce a virtual reality experience. 180 degrees is the bare minimum. Of course, in most FPS games, users can set the viewing angle to over 90 degrees. This results in warped video and increases the CPU and GPU load dramatically. Therefore, this is not a good solution.
360 Sphere of CGI Smut Action
Using Facebook’s new tool, a full 360 sphere can easily be captured in any Unity app (other engines are also compatible as well). To make a CGI VR porn with this tool, a CGI virtual reality porn director would first direct and animate their CGI fuck bots while recording a 360 replay video. Because a full 360 sphere is captured, when viewed, users will be able to look around anywhere as the CGI action unfolds. The freedom to look around anywhere provides the virtual reality illusion that gives users the impression that they are in the VR action.
This video would essentially offer the same experience as the CGI porn videos that are on VRPorn.com. If you want to learn about more this method check out:

in my opinion turning unity engine to make VR videos is better then 360 capture. Well, I am going to try this in few days and will let you know all here.

The Facebook 360 SDK looks quite interesting and easy way to get your 360 videos…. Thanks for the guide, will try this soon

Yeah I’m really glad they finally made this. I’ve wanted to record 360 video from within VR for a long time. It seems to work out of the box in most major 3D dev platforms, like Unity. Does it work with standard Oculus Rift games made in Unity? Or does the dev have to add something for it to work?
