Some of the hottest virtual reality porn out there isn’t always produced by big studios. Sometimes they’re made by average couples who just like to film themselves having fun. With the popularity of homemade VR porn on the rise, it’s only a matter of time before the VR format penetrates the amateur market. If you’re a VR enthusiast who’s interested in sharing some love, here are the best budget VR cameras to get you started.
#5 (Ricoh Theta S)
The Ricoh Theta S is a budget camera that specializes in user-friendly ergonomics and ease of use. You won’t find an easier way to start filming your sex life. If you are someone who doesn’t want to be bothered with a bunch of technical details and just wants to start shooting, then the Ricoh Theta S is a good option for you.
All this convenience does come at a cost, however. Unlike some of the other cameras in this price range, the Ricoh Theta S only films in 1080p and the resulting image quality isn’t as sharp as some of its competitors.
#4 (LG 360)
If the price is your number one concern, then look no further than the LG 360. Coming in at under $100 dollars, the LG 360 is by far the cheapest option in this lineup and is definitely the best choice for a videographer on a budget.
Compared to the Ricoh, the LG 360 has a slightly worse dynamic range and fewer controls over things like exposure and white balance. But at less than half the cost, this might just be a sacrifice you are willing to make.
#3 (360 Fly)
For those who are a bit more concerned with image quality, the 360 Fly offers a reasonable alternative. Thanks to its 4k resolution, the Fly is able to produce a much cleaner image than its 1080p predecessors and fortunately, it doesn’t have to compromise too much on price in order to do so.
The device is also extremely social media friendly and allows you to share your recordings to YouTube or Facebook with the click of a button. One downside of the 360 Fly is that the battery and storage are fixed which means if either of these two things goes bad, you’re out of luck.
#2 (Samsung Gear 360)
Unlike the 360 Fly, Samsung engineers made the smart decision to include a replaceable battery and memory card slot in their device. Although the image quality isn’t 4k, the Samsung Gear 360 does boast some of the sharpest images of any 1080p cam available and this little camera can definitely hold its own against the big boys.
Because it’s made by Samsung, this camera is perfect for those who already have a Samsung phone and the Gear VR since this will make the editing workflow exponentially easier than anything the other companies can offer.
#1 (Nikon KeyMission 360)
The KeyMission is perhaps the most professional camera in this lineup. At 30 megapixels, the camera’s sensor is one of the most advanced around and this helps to generate some of the prettiest 4k footage you can get in this price range. And, because these files are recorded to the universal H.264 format, they are more readily editable in a post. This is in stark contrast to the Samsung Gear 360, for example, where you have to convert the files before importing them into your editing software.
To top it all off, the KeyMission is also waterproof so if you are looking for a solid 360 camera that can get the job done, you can’t go wrong with this Nikon.
Conclusion
There are a lot of options for VR recording and the list is only growing. Ultimately, it comes down to what your budget is and how much quality you are willing to sacrifice in order to save a bit of money. If you are just starting out with VR recording, it is probably best to go with the LG 360. It has enough features to get you started and the price is just ridiculously cheap for what it offers.
Once you’ve gotten your feet wet, you could look into diving a bit deeper and be purchasing something like the 360 Fly or Nikon KeyMission. But with the technology advancing so rapidly, it might be wise to wait a few more years and see what else hits the market.

The best bet as per me, looking to affordability and quality is the Gear 360…. However, the newly introduced hand-held Gear 360 comes with 4K quality recording, live streaming facilities and also even higher memory storage options
