NaughtyAmerica is developing an AR porn app that puts a porn star in your living room. The app is based on Apple’s ARKit and it lets you project a virtual girl onto your surroundings via your phone or tablet.
The app tracks your movement in 3D space and allows you to walk around a CGI girl as though she were actually in front of you. You can move towards her or away from her and the scale of the model adjusts accordingly. You can even take selfies with the model and post them to social media.

NaughtyAmerica plans to make the app available for free and then find a way to monetize it later. In an interview for VentureBeat, NaughtyAmerica’s chief tech officer said,
We haven’t figured out the model yet, but we’re thinking that we want to use this promotionally in a certain way. We want to give out the app for free, with that avatar included in it. It’s fun, because if you’re with your friends you can have her in the picture with you and do selfies. Then we’ll do microtransactions to buy other avatars of other stars. But with the whole craze in VR chat and other things, maybe this will go even further. Maybe we’ll end up in social VR territory with these same avatars. I don’t know. We’ll see.
The augmented reality porn app was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) back in January and is due for release later this year.
The app should be released soon. We blogged about Naughty America’s AR porn app months ago when they were developing it. Gonna be exciting to see what they come out with!
AR is way to go.. i have always felt that AR is the real future… great to see this progress
Both VR and AR should be explored. Both are valuable technologies that serve different purposes. If you want to experience a different place, VR is the only way to go. If you want to experience something new in a familiar place then AR is the way to go.
Overall, I’m sure we can agree, we live in an exciting time for technology with advancement that are happening at a rapid pace.
