There is absolutely no doubt that HTC Vive still remains one of the most preferred VR headsets for developers experimenting with new products. Today, there are a lot of third-party accessories that work with the HTC Vive in order to enhance customer satisfaction and provide a comfortable viewing experience.
Some of the products which have found a wide variety of applications like the Vive Tracker have been born out HTC’s own Vive X Accelerator Program. Today we will be discussing three newly unveiled accessories that aim to improve your HTC Vive experience.
Neurable – A Brain-Computer Interface
Taking immersive Virtual Reality computing to the next level, Neurable has recently unveiled its new Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) which uses your thoughts as a controller in the Virtual Reality Environment. This is certainly a groundbreaking achievement and paves the way for an entirely new way of manipulating your VR environment.
This BCI comes with EEG (Electroencephalography) sensors attached to the interior side such that it can make a direct contact with your scalp in order to detect a brain activity, as seen in the above image. The thought-signals from your brain, that relate to some specific actions, are read by the BCI and corresponding actions are triggered within the VR environment.
Neurable VP, Michael Thompson, writes “BCIs analyze patterns of brain activity to determine user intent. This tech is already capable of typing on virtual keyboards and controlling prosthetic limbs, entirely from brain activity.”
The company also showed a demo of the working of Neurable controls. In the below video, you can see the person taking actions like stopping of lasers, picking of objects and even engaging in a combat using this thought as the primary controller.

ViveNChill Fan
I am quite sure that if you have been watching your favourite VR Porn videos at VR Porn.com, you must be going through some real sweaty moments and experiences. Well to keep your sweaty faces cool and help you enjoy some long-length hot videos, the ViveNChill Fan is just the perfect accessory for you.

The attachment is pretty simple. All you need to do is thread the fans into the top of the head-strap by plugging them into the USB port on the headset itself. Attach the fans and adjust them properly to set up for a cool experience with your Vive.
One of the ViveNChill’s other good advantages is that it prevents your lenses from fogging up. Also, the cool breeze gives enough relief to anyone who is facing the problem of nausea due to VR sickness.
rEvolve Strap
While you might not find this accessory very attractive at first glance, it still has some very useful functionality. The rEvolve is a replacement strap for the HTC Vive which basically does three things:
- Improves the Field of View
- Lets you flip up your HTC Vive without removing it completely from your head
- Makes your Vive using experience more easy and comfortable
The installation of this strap is pretty simple as it involves only a few simple steps like replacing the original Vive Strap, the face mask, and re-routing the cables.
The rEvolve strap brings quite a bit of comfort by resting the weight of the headset against your forehead rather than making you strap it tightly around your face. Moreover, its thinner face cushion allows the lenses to get a bit closer to your eyes increasing your field of view.
Overall, not so fancy but a really useful product for your HTC Vive.

Well, I have heard quite a lot of complaints from Vive users regarding the early wearing-off of the facepad… I think this could rather be useful for them
