The entire tech industry is betting a lot on the world of Mixed Reality technology which gives users the advantage of experiencing the merits of both – a whole new virtual world and the world of overlaying virtual objects in real-life applications.
The Creative Labs division at Samsung has recently pitched an interesting AR/VR Project, Monitorless, which is basically a pair of glasses that allows you to fetch data straight away from your connected smartphone or Laptop/PCs. With our world surrounded with too many smart devices, these glasses from Samsung will be a one-stop destination for quicker and easy access of data from connected devices.
The Idea and Working of Monitorless
The Monitorless features a pair of glasses much similar to the Google Glasses (only if you remember them) and comes with all the built-in computational power, speakers, Wi-Fi Antenna, projector and battery, all stuffed between two sides of the frame.
From the name itself, you can figure out the functionality. The Monitorless lets you fetch data from PCs and smartphones, without the need of a monitor, and projects in on the optic lens of your glasses.

As seen in the above video, the glasses connect to your smartphone which in turn connects to your Laptop/PC unit. You can then instantly fetch your favorite apps, games, and, of course, your favorite VR Porn videos and much more.
Easy switching between AR and VR
The Electro Chromic glass of these glasses helps you switch easily between the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality functionality, by blocking out the external light on demand. As shown at the end of the above video, while playing your favorite game, you can switch back to your real world, and then back to your VR world with a black-out of your surrounding.
Samsung says there isn’t enough data for AR and VR and so this functionality can enable your to play those high-end games stored on your mobile devices.
There are still no words regarding the availability and pricing as of yet. We expect Samsung to have a word on this while showcasing this project at the upcoming MWC 2017 event this weekend.

Now this look quite promising… It can be a big breakthrough in the mixed reality headset if it turns into a retail product… Moreover loved the seamless switching option between AR and VR… Wish Samsung turns this into reality soon!
