She Is Sexaroid VR is an ambitious VR porn game: in its wealth of content, in its varied features and, most importantly, in its charming premise.

There is a profound sense of warmth and intimacy that “She is Sexaroid” exudes towards the player. Your womanly companion, while supposedly an android in the game, embodies a rather vivid girlish demeanor reacting to your every move pragmatically. She is the star of the show: drawing you in, immersing you into a world where each detail is generously accounted for, and ultimately leaving you deeply attached to her sexual presence.

The game is perfectly set too.

It’s a sunny summer afternoon, with lush trees overseeing your small room, with your “sexaroid” sitting coyly next to you awaiting your instructions. Coming from other adult VR games where character development, frankly put, is underwhelming makes this experience a lot more special. That being said, other games have much better customization option as this game only offers you the ability to change the color of her clothes and glasses.

Commanding Sexaroid is simple. You pick one of 36 positions and one of its variation’s from the menu and you’re immediately dropped into the love-making! The game waits for you to replicate each position picked for maximum immersion. It’s straightforward and intuitive. Especially when you consider how I was able to make my way through the whole game when it was all Japanese. Just use the process of elimination!

The interaction system in place allows for a wide variety of sensual escapades. All these interactions work well on a fundamental level and the game’s core mechanics allow for some lewd, creative fun.

Additional game interactions, however, can be more problematic as they tend to be experimentally tailored for each sex position. Doggy style positions, for example, enable you to use your Touch / Vive controller as your hip, allowing you to attach your controller to a belt and physically thrust to please Sexaroid. Depending on how you use this newfound power, you might enjoy it or it might break you. It might favor the latter considering how current motion controllers are shaped.

Stripping clothes from Sexaroid is also another unique feature. The game, during certain scenes, allows you to help take Sexaroid’s clothes off for her. When it works, it’s astounding. I wouldn’t mind if this feature was a game on its own!  I should note that there are just some glitches here and there depending on Sexaroid’s position when you take her clothes off. It’s just a minor inconvenience though.

Verdict

Japanese developer Daminz has released a tailor-made adult VR game from the ground up. In this day and age, this feat is a rarity only otherwise shared by VR Kanojo. Is it as good as VR Kanojo? Well, no. Sexaroid does come surprisingly close though and I do admit in some aspects it can sometimes pull ahead! But it isn’t for everyone as I could see some people avoiding the game due to the fact that the game is completely in Japanese, lacks graphical CGI tweaking options, and has its fair share of bugs. Oh, and it’s also censored!

If you could look past these minor issues, then She Is Sexaroid makes a compelling argument for these type of “girlfriend experience” games and I hope more devs invest in similar experiences!
