Can someone explain the appeal of VR PMV? I want VR to be as realistic as possible. PMV completely breaks that immersion for me.

I have been watching PMVs for over 15 years. They have existed long before VR was ever a thing, and there are millions of free PMVs out there in the 2D format. PMVs are created by those and for those who enjoy PMVs.
What is the appeal? Well, this can be tricky, because PMVs can be so vastly different in their approach. Similar to genres of music, PMVs can be done in so many different ways. Someone who enjoys PMVs does not enjoy them all the same (someone may prefer rock to hiphop).
A PMV may be created from a single scene, or a PMV may include hundreds of different scenes from different videos. But in essence, a PMV is what the creator wants to see. Most PMV creators do not earn any type of money and they do not create for money. They create PMVs simply because they want to see something that does not exist, so they make it exist themselves. Generally speaking, it is created by people who want a more custom jerk off experience.
So to circle back, what is the appeal?
You are watching a unique experience. Something custom made by the creator for themselves to jack off to, and sharing their gooner fuel with you. They are videos created to be EXACTLY what the creator wants to jack off to. Cutting out all the filler and all the things they do not want to see, and replacing it with ONLY what they want to see.
Lastly. There is much I did not mention, and I tried to keep the explanation as neutral as possible. But if you ask 100 PMV enjoyers what the appeal of a PMV is, you may receive 100 different answers. However, something I can say that I believe all PMV creators and enjoyers would agree to, is that when you watch a PMV, you are watching an experience that the creator wanted to experience themselves, so they created it for themselves and let others experience it to.
