Temptation Towers Review – Adult VR Game

Temptation Towers…

…is another entry into the adult VR porn games section. While it’s not really a game per-se, it does make for a decent experience of wandering around a penthouse stacked with selectively shot and creatively applied 180 and 360-degree porn videos.

You start off in a hi-rise suite looking around and checking out the scenery set in downtown Las Vegas, right outside the Bellagio of all places. The suite is nicely appointed and the view outside the window is both impressive and brings back more than a few memories. They really did pick a nice backdrop for the whole experience.

This, being a view of the Bellagio and its impressive fountains right outside the window of the suite. Sure, there’s more to Vegas and this experience, but I’ve had some good times here, and this was a nice little in-program reminder. Of course, there’s more to the image, a lot more… 359 degrees more… So yeah…

The experience itself…

The controls were fairly straightforward without any documentation. Pretty standard teleport style movement, and then some kind of wonky combination of teleport/grab to activate things. That part took a little work to get used to, but overall it wasn’t too horrible. Not like you had to swing your arms all over the place flappy bird style to move around…

The whole concept of the experience is that you’re wandering around this suite, and you’ve got girls in the shower and girls digging for clothes in the closet. Sexy girls relaxing on a couch, and more girls all over the place… What makes it, though, is that it’s not just a bunch of still images, rather it’s a looped video that’s blended into the virtual world. So that chick in the closet actually looks like she’s really in there. As does the one pressing her tits on the glass door in the shower.

Speaking of the shower, I wandered a little too close and actually wound up in it. That’s right, you get a bit too close to the video and you’re likely to end up right smack in the middle of a nice 360° movie as though you just walked from your virtual set into a real one. I must say, this is actually kind of a snazzy concept and one that I hadn’t seen before.

Changing scenes.

One other neat thing about the way this is set up is that there seem to be 3 different studios or divisions, all with their own dedicated floors. You’ve got KinkVR, BaDoinkVR, and VixenVR all with their own stuff and all on different levels, so when you get tired of what’s going on with one floor, just hop in the elevator, ride to another floor and check out another room.

You can see here that BaDoink’s suite matches the logo colors pretty well. Just a shade of blue in almost everything in the room minus a couple key features… And of course, KinkVR has their whole crazy getup done in red and black which looks a lot more bad-ass than BaDoink’s…

I mean seriously, minus the high polished floor, it really looks like it would fit right in almost any AAA title out there… Quite honestly, It’s almost a shame that someone couldn’t steal it for a level in a video game dungeon.

Having explored the world a bit…

And getting tired of porn, (GASP!) I decided to try and break the game a bit… I was listening to Spring by Rammstein, and what better way to go?

And so I jumped…

And so it was… Usually, when you jump out of one of these buildings, the adult VR game designers leave you floating, stuck, etc… Imagine my surprise when I looked back up.

In this hellish-looking hellhole…

I must say, I was SERIOUSLY not expecting this, and was rather floored by this plot twist… Lights, check. Shadows, check. Ambience… Check!!! I mean this is seriously a legit dungeon hallway in a virtual reality porn game. What’s it doing here? I took a few weaponless steps down the hall feeling unprepared… No sword, no shield, no torch or rock? Just me and this creepy dude on the other side of the bars asking how the fuck I got down there…

Anyways, ditching captain “who are you and how did you get down here” dude… I decided to soldier on. The end of the hall opened up into another well laid out dungeonesque room. Walking in here, one of the first things I noticed was a video of a beating heart on the wall and the name Polemos…

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Greek lore, Polemos was the god of war… So yeah, the beating heart fits… But it’s a little confusing considering this was supposed to be porn? What gives? Anyways, this guy gives you some lecture about something which I really wasn’t paying any attention to because I was too busy checking out my surroundings, which were pretty impressive.

End of the easter egg…

So, apparently, Mr. Greek God of War just hangs out in his basement watching porn all day… SWEET! We’ve all got something in common with the god of war!!! Sadly, he was none too happy at being disturbed, and before I could cap another screenshot, had some huge troll/ogre thing come charging out of the darkness and it bitch-smacked me so hard that my game crashed…

Conclusion….

While the technology of mixing video and 3d environments doesn’t really excite me all that much personally, (IMO Video porn is on its way out and can’t be replaced by 3d CGI models for a TRUE VR experience soon enough), what this experience DID deliver for me was one hell of a surprise. I have never in my life seen a developer, let alone a porn dev, put such a hugely impressive easter egg in a program like this. Add in the impressive level design and layout, and how smooth everything ran and you’ve got a very solid program.
