Believe it or not, finding a video player for one of the best virtual reality headsets, the Gear VR, was somewhat difficult. This is because Oculus Rift partnered with Samsung to make a full-featured video app for the platform. Their product is so good that only a few have attempted to do better (Moon VR). The Oculus Video app handles downloaded 3d and 360 videos. If you are downloading virtual reality porn videos from VRPorn.com, Oculus Video is the video player to use.
Previously called Oculus Cinema, this app allows users to sideload their own videos while also offering a variety of movies that you can buy. The process of sideloading (instructions below) is a must for watching VR porn on a Gear VR. Beyond adult content, Oculus Video also allows users to watch Twitch and Vimeo videos as well. I will talk about all of this here.

Providing more details about the Oculus Video App for the Gear VR, Oculus says that:
The official video app from Oculus is your personal movie theater in VR. Watch trailers, movies, or your own videos in a completely new and immersive way. Log into Facebook to stream the latest, peak-quality 3D 360 videos, check out fun reactions from friends, and more. Choose where to watch in VR, from a home theater to the surface of the moon!” There may be other apps out there for the Gear VR that offer more features but I doubt any can provide the polished experience of Oculus Video. In conclusion, downloading Oculus Video is a no brainer if you have a Gear VR.
Sideloading Content
For virtual reality porn videos hosted at this site, the Oculus Video app works great but requires a few awkward steps to get videos playing. This is no fault of the app, rather just a by-product of Android’s weird file management system.
1. The first step is to create a folder for your downloaded content. You should download a file manager app like ES File Explorer from the Google Play Store to help with this process. For Oculus Video to access your video, you need to create a folder in the /oculus/movies/ directory. If you don’t have a folder called 3d or 360, you should create a folder and call it 360videos or 3d. This will result in the total file path /oculus/movies/360videos or /oculus/movies/3d.
2. Next step, put the downloaded videos into the appropriate folder. 360 videos should go into the 360videos folder and 3d videos should go into the 3d folder.
3. After putting your videos in the correct folder, you have to rename them. 360 videos should be titled like the following “title_360.mp4” and “title_180.mp4”.
4. If the video is 3d, you add _LR to the end of the filename. So a 3d 180 video would be “title_180_LR.mp4”.
5. Next, open the app while wearing the headset. Your videos should show up. If they do not come up on the main screen, go to the “My Videos” category.
Watching Movies (prices subject to change)
As I previously mentioned, this app can handle a variety of video duties beyond virtual reality porn. Last fall, Samsung and Oculus updated the app to sell films. You can rent and purchase movies in the app. They start at $8.99. There are some great scary movies to purchase including Blair Witch 2 ($8.99), Night Watch ($8.99), Aliens ($12.99), Aliens 3, Alien Resurrection and more. These movies look great on the Gear VR. That said, these are not in 3d. Dawn of Planet of the Apes which is priced at $29.99, is one of the few 3d titles. There is a variety of free content available as well. In the future, I will detail other video players for playing virtual reality porn on the Gear VR.

I’ve looked in every folder, searched “.mp4”, and can’t find any video downloaded from vrporn. When I download, where do files go?

Interesting. Does someone have an idea how regular they update their movies list? This would save us lots of bucks lol

Good explanation…. Nut want to ask that is this file naming protocol mandatory, specifically in Step 3 and Step 4?
