UploadVR posed the question: Will Prostitutes Lose Business To VR?
It was inspired by this post by the legal Nevada brothel Sheri’s Ranch entitled “Nevada’s Brothels vs. CES 2016’s Virtual Marketplace”.
VR Porn is destined to be huge. Pretty much everybody can see this by now. One of the most viewed posts on UploadVR is their guide on How to Hide Gear VR Porn. Almost everybody is interested in VR Porn, even if some are too shy to talk about it.
Sheris Ranch goes in to pretty good detail of how they think virtual reality will affect prostitution. They note that VR is growing rapidly and looks to be certain to change the landscape. So they ask several legal and licensed sex workers in Nevada about how they think it will affect their business.
I agree that virtual reality technology will unavoidably change the sex industry, but I feel that it will more likely replace pornography than prostitution.
Virtual reality can’t teach a man what I could teach him…
Easier isn’t necessarily better, especially when it comes to enjoying the breadth of what life has to offer.
Virtual reality will certainly have a great impact on the sex industry. But it is such a new and revolutionary technology, we can only start to imagine how it will really play out.
