If you’ve played Skyrim, odds are, you already know that there’s plenty of female body replacer mods out there which let you have naked women running around. Well, now that you’re experiencing VR, perhaps it’s about time to up your game somewhat and find out what you’ve been missing. However, this is going to be a newbie guide to seeing the goods in VR Skyrim, so I want to point out a few things you’re going to need. And of course, why.
- Obviously, a VR headset and a good video card. I run a GTX 1070 with 8gb of DDR5. I can see a fairly stable 45fps even in large areas like Markarth. The reason your framerate is important, is because jitters and lag WILL hurt to watch.
- A copy of Skyrim SE. I can not stress enough how much of an improvement Skyrim Special Edition is. Although the vanilla Skyrim (will) work, it is not optimized to run on newer computers and does not take advantage of multicore processors and larger amounts of memory. This really takes a load of your processor and frees up your video card to do the more important job of processing your video.
- An account at http://www.nexusmods.com/ I definitely recommend setting one up. It really eases the transition of installing mods in to Skyrim and makes being a total noob at modding Skyrim a lot less painful.
- Nexus Mod Manager. You can find this handy little program by going to nexusmods and clicking the link at the top of the page that says Install NMM (0.63.9) This will install a program that will scan your system and find out if you have any games that Nexusmod’s offers mods for. Several of the fallout games and a bunch of others can be managed with this handy tool. It’s well worth installing because once you log in to it with your nexus account, it will manage your downloads, files, and mod installations with a simple checkbox.
- Vorpx. If you’ve read my previous blog post, you’ll understand why you need this. If you havent, Vorpx is a program that contains a set of drivers for rendering DirectX games in 3D. It sucks that it’s $40, but I haven’t found a free alternative that works and is easy to use. Vireio Perception is supposedly one, but it is in development and supposedly only works on fallout 4 at the moment.
- Skyrim SE’s preliminary Vorpx profile off of Vorpx’s site. Download and extract it, and then follow the directions to install it. It’s really that easy.
One thing you will need to learn how to do with Vorpx, (pretty easy) Is to block it from launching at inappropriate times. You’ll know when it happens, it’s pretty obvious. When it does, launch the configuration utility and click on “Excluded Programs” on the left. Then, in the middle, click on “Add process”, highlight processes that you don’t want it to launch for like Utorrent.exe, mediaplayer.exe, scheduler.exe the mod manager, and whatever else you happen to have running in the background that you don’t want to try and launch into VR.
Now, once you have everything you need, and installed Nexus Mod Manager and set it to work with Skyrim SE, the next thing you need is content. Feel free to use your imagination on this one and pull whatever mod’s you want off of the Nexus. One thing you need to make sure of is that you are downloading mods for Skyrim SE, and not the regular Skyrim. There are differences in the new engine that break some of the scripting and older mods. That being said, many older mods can be installed manually if you have the time and knowledge. There are plenty of guides out there on how to do just that.
As far as mod’s for adult content go, you’re going to need the following.
Fores New Idles in Skyrim – FNIS – Be sure to follow the installation instructions and go to the folder the mod is installed in. This mod is essential.
D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users
That’s my install path. There is a file there that you will need to run after you update the skeleton and animation files. The install directions for the mod are somewhat vague on where it is, and if you don’t run it, the animations will not play. This mod is very important to have.
You’re also going to need a body replacer to get rid of those annoying underwear rags and clean up the bodies so they aren’t covered in dirt. Pick one you like. CBBE gives you bigger breasts and butts, UNP Female Body Renewal is pretty nice and somewhat realistic, and of course, there’s Better Males Remesh for Skyrim SE. I can’t tell you what your own personal taste is, so pick something you like.
At this point, you can load up your game and see naked women. After you kill them, or if you undress your own character.. Not quite right yet, and thing’s don’t look right either because your Vorpx Settings aren’t quite right.. We’ll fix that in a moment.
Now, in order to actually enjoy having naked females in Skyrim, there’s a couple other mod’s you’re going to want.
Animated Prostitution for Skyrim. Be sure to download the SE version if you have Skyrim SE. Also, be sure to run that GenerateFNISforusers.exe in that folder I linked earlier. Adding the scripts to Skyrim’s database is what makes this mod work, and why I said that FNIS was essential.
At this point, you can talk to pretty much any character and have sex in a variety of positions. But, there’s more.
Bathing Beauties or Beefcake – Luxury Suite SE. This gives you a nice place right outside of whiterun to set up shop. It also allows you to recruit followers from around the world and send them back to a convenient “house”, where you can store all your stuff.
Music and Dancing in the Luxury Suite SE. This gives you the ability to play some music in the suite and have those bathing beauties do a number of dances.
Now that we have a basic set of mod’s that allow you to enjoy some free VR porn in Skyrim, it’s time we learned how to make it look right. So, remember this part, load up Skyrim SE and learn to use “Console Commands”. The Tilde key (~), or holding the shift button and pressing the key above the tab, and to the left of the 1 button open the console, where you can do some pretty powerful changes. Hit that same key again to close the menu. Skyrim has a whole bunch of cheat codes you can look up, but really only 3 that matter for our needs. To enable a code, open the console and simply type it in and hit enter. To disable a code, open the console, type in the same code again, and hit enter.
FOV – FOV allows you to change the field of view. You’ve probably noticed that things look a little “odd” in VR. Limbs are stretched, people are the wrong size, etc.. Well, this cures about 90% of it and makes things look a good bit better. So, open up the console, type in FOV 120 and hit enter and close the console. Depending on your headset, this should give you a really good starting point for what looks natural based on your headset and your eyes. You can adjust the FOV however you want, but I don’t recommend going more than 15 degrees either way.
TCL – TCL unbinds your character from the world so you can clip through objects. Moving in VR is as simple as looking in a direction and pressing forward. The forward key moves you in whatever direction you are looking so look up and press forward to go up, down and forward to go down, etc.. Left and right strafe, and your mouse still rotates you around normally. Now, TCL 1 will not only enable no clipping, but it will also freeze all movement. This allows you to check out your dancing or masturbating beauties from any position or angle without having to do a bunch of gymnastics.
TM – TM Because menu’s suck. Ever get into a position that you want to be in but that damn ghostly white “press E to talk” button pops up and blocks your view? TM, hides ALL menu’s. Including the Console menu. So, when you hit tilde, type in TM, and the menus disappear and the game looks like it’s frozen, don’t panic. Hit tilde again and everything resumes. Minus the menu’s. In order to get the menu’s back, you’re going to need to hit tilde, type in TM again, hit enter, and the menu will come back. You won’t be able to see yourself doing that and it may be a little weird the first couple times, but meh.
Congratulation’s you’ve finished the basics of what you’ll need to have VR porn in Skyrim. Run around, beat the crap out of everything you can, and screw the ones you can’t! Don’t forget to launch the Vorpx driver before firing up Skyrim SE and enjoy.
Of course, there’s more. Much more… Soo much more… To the wonderful world of VR porn in Skyrim. I did say this was a basics guide to help new VR owners get their feet wet. From here, you can easily go on to find mods for better looking bodies, better looking eyes, lips, hair, 4k texture packs etc. The only limits are your system and what it can handle. Eh, and what the modding community puts out. There’s another site called LoversLab which specializes in adult content for Skyrim, unfortunately they don’t support the NexusModManager which really simplifies everything. If you want their stuff, you’re going to have to learn how to mod your game manually. But the results can be…
Worth it.

Can I ask, how hard is this really to get working? I messed around with Illusion/Playclub and though I tried like a hero, I just couldn’t make things work.

Nexus Mod Manager makes it super easy to install the mods. Install the manager, go to nexus, and click the NMM install button. The mod manager handles downloading, all you have to do is activate the mods by highlighting them and clicking a green check and answering a couple questions like Tits? HUGE/Nice/flat. Or Pubes? JUNGLE, Forest, trimmed, Shaved… Vorpx is the one you have to learn to use. I suppose I should do a post about setting up Vorpx for VR porn, but as long as you get the “pre configured” module for it off of Vorpx’s site, the only thing you really need to do is adjust the FOV within Skyrim. I should have another post up about an easy room scale VR porn shortly and although it doesn’t have the depth that Skyrim does, it still makes for a good experience..

Also, keep in mind, this works for Fallout 4, and Witcher 3 as well, although Fallout 4 is a bit skimpy on adult content mods at the moment. Actually, so is Witcher 3. Basically, if you want the best selection, stick with regular skyrim, If you want the best performance as far as framerate and gameplay? Stick with Skyrim SE. It’s only going to get better.

No problem. Most of my blog posts are going to be geared towards people just getting started, so I’ll try and keep to the basics. 😀 Just a heads up. If your rig is capable of running the 32 bit content, or if you’re comfortable running it and modding, there’s a LOT more content for the old 32 bit havok version than the new version. It’s going to take a while for stuff to get ported, but this provides a good starting point.

Hey this is really cool, thanks! I’ve heard about this but had no idea how to do it.
