If there is one wish that I have from the realm of VR porn, then it involves having many more French productions. The land of Charles de Gaulle, Voltaire, and Jeanne d’Arc also happens to be the place where cinematography was first invented and acknowledged as an art and consequently is among the biggest innovators of pornography.
Before the state of California became the worldwide capital of adult entertainment and the Czech Republic emerged with its beauties, the streets from the Montmartre area of Paris had X-rated theaters where original adult content was being screened, and pornography was already established as a form of erotic art. It’s hard to determine exactly why France isn’t among the biggest producers of porn, but it’s great to see that their most famous production studio, Dorcel, is also releasing films for the VR branch.
That’s how we ended up with today’s gem, a piece that gracefully combines a believable and 4th wall-breaking story with the latest technological advancements from the industry, in order to portray a genuine representation of what a pornstar’s life looks and feels like.

There are two very important reasons why you should watch this: first of all, it uses a full 360 degrees field of view (FOV), and there are legitimate reasons to do so. The other 180 degrees aren’t just a gimmick which allows you to look at an empty side of the room, as you actually find yourself on a filming set and you can watch the director, producer, and cameramen do their work. Secondly, this is the first female POV film reviewed through the series, and you’re in for a bisexual experience in which you embody a busty lady who gets screwed by a guy and a girl.

“Being a Porn Actress” by DorcelVR
For those of you who don’t know, Marc Dorcel is a big name in Europe and certainly the most influential contemporary director and producer. His studio is responsible for the content that makes French-speaking audiences scream “Oui, Oui!”, “Mon Dieu!”, and “Baise Moi!” loudly as they masturbate and/or enjoy the adult content with a partner.
As a sign of appreciation for authentic European adult entertainment, I’ve decided to review this film as quickly as possible, in order to raise awareness of its greatness and uniqueness. Furthermore, I’ve just noticed that, at this moment, there are only 3 productions of DorcelVR on VRPorn.com, and the other two are orgies that have already been reviewed. It just goes to show that whenever the French studio releases something new, it’s quite a celebration within the industry.
Now, since we have a proper framework for comparison, it’s safe to affirm that today’s film is a reenactment of a previous release of the same studio. “Be a Porn Star!” is an orgy that makes you fill the shoes of a debutant male pornstar who gets attention from some of the finest French ladies. Likewise, “Being a Porn Actress” follows the same pattern, except that you are subjected to the special sexual treatment of only two performers: Rose Valerie and Josh.
Surprisingly, the film is short and sweet: it runs for only 10 minutes but manages to capture the essential pornstar experience from a lady’s point of view.
What makes “Being a Porn Actress” especially great is the fact that you’re basically watching the experience from the perspective of Lucy Heart, the busty golden-haired French sex goddess herself! If you’re a woman, then this is very sensual and flattering. However, if you’re a guy and you experience 10 minutes of sex through the eyes of such a sultry woman, it can be pretty trippy.
This film is best experienced as a bisexual individual, as you get the best of both worlds and will have a really great time receiving both cunnilingus and a hard drilling in missionary position. It may seem a little disgusting (to say the least) if you’re a macho guy whose pride wouldn’t allow any kind of dick inside his body. But if you’re a curious person who wants to experience something new, this is the perfect hybrid or cross-over.

Furthermore, just in case you really don’t like the action that takes place in front of your eyes (and you’re a straight person who might feel disgusted at certain moments), then you can still look around and experience the events taking place. First of all, you will notice to your left that the tight tattooed brunette Cassie Del Isla is getting nailed in cowgirl and reverse cowgirl positions. This is quite an intense voyeur experience that you are guaranteed to love. It’s like classical porn was included in the scene just to improve the atmosphere, but also give you an alternative for experimentation.
Last but not least, the seductive brunette director Anna Polina and her crew of cameramen are right behind you, so you can hear her give instructions and do that professional work that often gets overlooked and gets little appreciation.
In a way, the film feels quite educational in terms of how porn is made, and the fact that there is so much to see within the 360 degrees field of view is a bold statement regarding POV storytelling. You truly feel like a female pornstar in her first day at work!
The dialogues, for example, are really casual and laid-back, as if this is just another job that the performers have to get done. However, as soon as the camera starts rolling at the direction of Anna Polina, everyone becomes more passionate in a professional way. This is something that you don’t really get to observe in regular virtual reality porn, so you can find this pretty educational dimension on everything you see.

Much like Woody Allen films, “Being a Porn Actress” breaks the fourth wall and gives you an insight on the life and work of an industry newcomer. The irony is that Lucy Heart is quite accomplished in terms of VR porn and has many titles under her belt, but maybe that this kind of experience recommends her for the main role.
However, there is still something that becomes obvious from the first second: you’re everyone’s favorite and the one who gets the most attention. And you might say that it’s due to your newcomer status, but it also makes a lot of sense to make you feel special for being a part of the crew. It’s also a sugar-coated glorification of the profession since it’s a lot harder to record porn and sometimes it takes plenty of attempts to get something right, but that’s another discussion for another day.
The sexual positions are pretty limited on your behalf, and you’re as static as can be. The beauty of the film is that it feels really dynamic due to the smart use of the 360 degrees perspective, and you can watch it 3 or 4 times and still identify small bits and details that might have escaped your attention. That’s why I like to call it “the dynamic static” film, as it gracefully masks the limitations with an inviting environment that you want to explore.
“Being a Porn Actress” is perhaps the film that makes the best use of the 360 degrees field of view. It’s immersive, it tells a story with every second, and it breaks the fourth wall in a very smart way. For its innovations and its great action, I’ll give it a 9.5/10.
The French always have their way with cinema, and VR porn is no exception. DorcelVR has managed to produce one of the greatest 10-minute threesomes of all time, and they deserve all the praise for being able to pull it off.
However, the short length comes at a cost in terms of diversity of sexual positions. You won’t see any doggy style, and the scene might feel a little bit rushed. The cunnilingus and penetration you get as a female protagonist are also a little superficial and might lack all that steamy passion that you find in longer and overall greater productions.

However, all these minuses are compensated by the impressive use of the 360 FOV and the placement of participants and elements. There’s a great variety of action that you can watch on every side of the room, you can even be a voyeur for a turned-on couple that really gets off with style. Additionally, you can see the director and cameramen in action at all times, which is quite fascinating.
Last but not least, the world is absolutely gorgeous from the eyes of a performer and Lucy Heart, and you should totally explore it. After all, it’s only 10 minutes of your time and you can even do it twice. Give this film a chance and you won’t feel disappointed. It really gives the “voulez-vous coucher avec moi?” expression a whole new sense.
