Mortal Kombat is perhaps one of the greatest achievements in the history of video games: it brought the pixelated depiction of blood into the mainstream, it revolutionized modern fighting games, and it made a lasting cultural impact. If you were a teenager in the 90s, then you must have certainly spent a few pocketfuls of quarters on the arcades, trying to learn the finishing moves and doing your best to discover the many hidden characters.
But how about a crazy fantasy threesome concept? You’re Liu Kang, preparing to fight in the upcoming Mortal Kombat tournament, ready to kick some ass and show everyone that you are the greatest warrior in the universe. But you decide to take a break from your rigorous training and conditioning regime, just to pay a visit to two of your future opponents: your love interest Princess Kitana and her good friend Jade.
If you don’t know the difference between Kitana and Jade, then you clearly haven’t played the series too much: the former is always wearing a blue robe, while the latter sports some green attire. The programmers were pretty lazy in the earlier games from the franchise and didn’t distinguish them too much graphically, just like they did with Reptile and Scorpion who were wearing the same outfit, but with a different color. But if you want to follow a Mortal Kombat-themed VR orgy, you have to know the basics and leverage your expectations accordingly.
So now that we know that the characters are close to each other in the video game franchise, we realize that this might just be a sneak peek from behind the curtain that Midway themselves can reveal. Liu Kang has expressed his romantic interest for Princess Kitana, and Jade is pretty close to her royal friend. Neat idea for a threesome, huh?
“Mortal Kombat XXX Parody” by VRCosplayX
There’s a long history of video games that get turned into movies and fail to capture the essence and the spirit miserably (I’m looking at you, live action adaptation of Super Mario Bros!). However, porn is different and has the magical power to completely enhance the experience by taking it to new heights and giving it an intimate touch. In the case of VR porn, everything is significantly better, as you feel like you’re a part of the action.
Though “Mortal Kombat” isn’t quite “Dead or Alive” and isn’t known for its portrayal of oversexualized female characters, it has its own share of beauties to make you drool over your video game controller: Sonya Blade, Tanya, Kitana, Jade, Mileena, Nitara, and many others. But what is really notable about Princess Kitana and Jade, in particular, is the fact that they first appeared in the second game and have been permanent members of the roster.
As for Liu Kang, he’s quite the guy to be. He’s handsome, he’s skilled in martial arts, he is often portrayed as the winner of the Mortal Kombat tournament in plenty of media, and he has the moves that drive girls wild. His righteous attitude, alongside his well-meaning nature, are the hero traits that are bound to get ladies and grab the attention of a certain assassin princess.
Therefore, it makes a lot of sense that this threesome happens and it’s satisfying that it does. I’m sure that plenty of fans will geek out as soon as they realize just what they can see, and how well this film is handled and portrayed.
The costumes are spot-on, every narrative detail is set in accordance to the Mortal Kombat universe, and there’s satisfying hardcore sex. There are two problems, though: the dialogue and the acting itself.
We already know that the video game characters usually speak in one-liners that are meant to tell the story without taking too much time from the gameplay. However, in an environment that’s meant to feel immersive and inviting, a little more conversation wouldn’t have done any damage. The bad news is that neither Alba de Silva (who plays Jade), nor Katrina Moreno (who plays Kitana) are natives in English.
It’s really a bummer that a meeting of such epic proportions, which fans have been fantasizing for more than 2 decades, gets handled so poorly on the storytelling side. The dialogues are awkward and, when Alba talks to you in the very few seconds, you can only understand that you have responded to an invitation and you are Liu Kang (though the name is mispronounced). Katrina doesn’t do a better job either, as her English is just as bad.
There was a huge potential to tell a story while having sex and make geeky references to various narrative developments from the video games. They could talk about how Shao Kahn, Kitana’s in-game father and the main villain of the series, would get really upset if he knew about this orgasmic debauchery. They could make jokes about beating all the competitors and making love in the final just to show the true essence of the Mortal Kombat tournament. But instead of that, we get prolonged moments of awkward silence and just a visual representation of the action.
Thankfully, the action is extremely well done, the visuals are stunning, and everything about pounding Kitana and Jade is extremely satisfying.
If you’re a Mortal Kombat geek, then you’re gonna love this and wish it became a regular series. The sex scenes are long enough to capture emotion and intensity (which might definitely reside in characters who have shown attraction towards each other plenty of times in the games), and the positions of choice capture the very best of what the ladies can offer.
Correspondingly, you get an early standing doggy style scene in which you beautifully penetrate the two horny assassins from behind (or stab them with your meat dagger, if you may), and then get on the floor for a really steamy session of cowgirl and reverse cowgirl. Except for these three positions, you also get passionate blowjobs and fleeting glimpses of lesbian elements. Kitana and Jade are attracted to each other and have been friends since their early childhoods, remember?
There’s a large chunk of consummate professionalism that was put into making this film and it’s admirable that the physical side of production received so much attention. Everything from the costumes to the sexual attraction and the chemistry is really spot-on. Also, even the title of this virtual reality porn will make you think of the recently-released “Mortal Kombat X”. Geeking out is guaranteed, and so is your sexual satisfaction.
“Mortal Kombat XXX Parody” is a great enactment of the Liu Kang-Kitana-Jade love triangle, and it does justice to the personalities of the video game characters. That’s why it gets a 9 out of 10 rating.
I’ve really wanted to like this film a little more since I’ve played quite a lot of Mortal Kombat II in the arcades and at some point, I used to beat other players with the female characters. However, it just doesn’t click on the audible and psychological level: for such a glorious event as the threesome between Liu Kang, Kitana, and Jade, there’s way too little dialogue and not enough psychological immersion.
To some, it might be great as it is since they can make up the story in their own minds. But I see a lot of missed potential since there are plenty of stories that can be told by taking into account the many events from the video games. VRCosplayX could have handled this film a lot better and could have done real justice to the franchise.
But in their defense, they picked actresses who really look like the characters they’re playing, they have paid close attention to the set and costumes, and they delivered a memorable and satisfying sexual experience. It’s the physical delight of every guy who ever wondered what it’s like to be Liu Kang just for a few moments.
I was particularly drawn by the performance of Alba de Silva, as she seemed to be a little more passionate – but don’t quote me on that one, since I’ve also enjoyed the intensity of Katrina Moreno and would probably choose differently on another day. They are equally great and complete each other sexually. I just wish they were assigned more lines that are drawn from the series.
All in all, this is yet another glorious cosplay release which capitalizes on the geek audience. It’s a pleasure to watch, it’s pretty mind-blowing to get involved in it as a Mortal Kombat fan, and I strongly recommend it to all the fans of the franchise. People from Midway, take a look at this beautiful film, maybe you can draw some inspiration from it for the next game!
