Every new technology has had its specific internal angst, especially when it’s aimed at mass consumers: virtual reality devices have a lot of potentials and deliver amazing visual experiences that truly immerse the users in worlds that not even their wildest dreams can conceive.

To put it plainly, today’s film is underwhelming, lacks that touch of greatness lots of virtual reality productions have, appears to have somewhat of an identity crisis, and depicts VR porn in its roughest, most incipient, and pristine state.

Whilst this amateurish touch to the product can be a turn-on and a reason to enjoy the films to a higher extent for their seeming authenticity, there are many problems and flaws that need to be addressed. So dear virtual reality porn hipsters who like to get into certain performers and studios before they get big and multi-awarded, please allow me to present my point and make a statement regarding what went wrong, but why we should keep on supporting the studio’s work.

First of all, let’s talk about the film itself and why it is bad. In my book, VirtualPorn360 is a relatively new and obscure porn studio, and the fact that they’re from Spain (just like VirtualRealPorn) only proves that the Europeans are steadily developing a taste for high-quality VR content. The ladies in the film are uncredited and unnamed, so it was nearly impossible to find out who they are and if they were involved in previous productions of the studio. Furthermore, VirtualPorn360’s website doesn’t feature any details regarding the film itself – it’s like they either forgot to add it, or they thought it was too bad for an official release and only spread it among third parties. Not knowing who the ladies are without adding the “Amateur” label is never a good sign, since the branding of porn films usually relies on the performers’ reputation and notoriety. If there is none, then something is fishy about the situation. Additionally, not promoting your own product links to content of questionable quality.

The depicted action could easily make the product a part of the “All Action, No Gimmicks” category of this threesome-oriented series, as there are no dialogues and no apparent reason for having the sexual affair is ever presented.

But let me present the action really briefly: You’re a guy who lies in bed and witnesses the spontaneous commencement of a lesbian affair: the babes enjoy each other’s presence, and then turn their attention to you with kinky blowjobs. So far so good, but there won’t be any hardcore action involved and the only exciting element that makes watching this somewhat worthwhile is the moment when you, as a protagonist, begin to simultaneously finger the two pretty women. In the end, you gloriously release your man seed all over their faces and that’s the end of this unoriginal, uninspired, and dull VR experience.

The fact that the situations and events can be summed up so quickly is definitely a minus. Yes, there is some dildo action involved between the two ladies, and the lesbian scenes are decent. However, every good part loses its charm due to the terrible background music, the low-quality image, and the apparent clumsiness and unprofessionalism of the performers. When you have something good going on in your film but it’s really hard to have it observed or pointed out, then you’re clearly in the middle of a problematic production. And when you release such a product to the general audiences and flop, then you should thoroughly consider what might have gotten wrong during the filming and production processes.

In the defense of VirtualPorn360, they have released a bunch of fairly decent titles that can be called competitive and according to the contemporary standards of quality. There is another VR threesome which I enjoyed and might review someday if I’m in the right mood to take a closer look at it (or this article causes such a backlash that I have to present the good sides of the Spanish studio).

Above everything, we are consumers with an interest in the quality of the product – and in order to preserve the high standards and make sure that every release we get fulfills a minimal set of qualitative criteria, we have to make the best choices and allow those who provide underwhelming experiences to feel the effects economically. However, we shouldn’t slam and bury small studios that haven’t had the chance to show their true potential yet, due to the relatively small exposure and the scarcity of financial resources. Instead, we should support them by providing a feedback and showing our genuine interest in their artistic and commercial output.

We should totally support these small companies and try to persuade their staff via relentless e-mails and explain to them that not every new release is something that we enjoy. That’s why it gets a passing grade even though it is used as an advocation for becoming more responsible and aware as consumers.
