Today, VRPorn.com announced that it has officially surpassed 100 million users.
“We’re very excited to have reached this important milestone,” said Lisa Moore chief evangelist at VRPorn.com.
100 million unique visitors is a lot for any website. But it’s especially impressive for a website that focuses exclusively on VR content.
According to Similarweb, VRPorn.com is the single highest traffic VR site, with nearly twice the traffic of Oculus.com. Because of this, many experts consider traffic to VRPorn.com to be a good measure of VR adoption as a whole.
“A majority of VR users will try VR porn at least once. This makes our traffic a solid indicator for the industry overall,” said Lisa Moore.
The latest VR sales numbers support this claim.
VR Headset Sales
Playstation just recently claimed they’ve sold 4.2 million PSVR systems as of March 2019. HTC and Oculus are more protective over their exact sales numbers but are likely in the same ballpark. Taking VRPorn.com’s traffic numbers in this larger context, it’s clear that the vast majority of VR owners are using their device to consume adult content.
“We are still in the very early stages of VR adoption. As VR continues to grow so will we.” – Lisa Moore
VRPorn.com traffic has increased steadily since 2016 and the number of new visitors is more than five million per month. And VR is still in the early stages. Only a small % of the population uses VR regularly, and with VR tech improving exponentially, many experts believe there’s huge room for growth.
VRPorn.com offers free adult VR videos and games from nearly 200 VR studios. They also have a premium subscription product similar to Netflix that gives users access to more than 2,500 full VR experiences for $19.95 per month.
