What does it do? It loads you into a 3D environment that you can get up and walk around in. I was so excited to finally be able to walk around in… Wait a minute, what the?
On first glance? That’s pretty boring! But, right click the mouse and enter the menu.
And some sadistic asshat just crashed it when I went to back up a menu.. Wait, no, hitting escape closes the program. My bad… Well, that’s handy if the wife walks in… Just explain why I’m standing around in a batman costume wearing a vive with a hard-on staring at nothing.. Sure.. Happens every day.. But seriously, to open and close the menu, it’s space or right click . To scroll up and down the menu, it’s the scroll wheel, to select something, scroll to it and then left click on it.
And yeah.. That didn’t do much for us either. Gives us a ton of stuff to play around with and a whole bunch of menu options, and the program closes every time we hit the escape key to close the menu because that’s “intuitive” right? Trying to use this is torture and we don’t know what half this shit is. But that’s where this handy basic guide comes in…
At the bottom of the menu, the selection Etc. Which is obviously the most obvious choice which we’d all click on first right? Leads us to another menu….
Yawn, “scene” this already, why am I looking at it again?
Easy, because what we want to click is “Load Scene”…
LOAD SCENE Is where the hard work of people like LewdFRAGGY really pays off, because there’s a HUGE LIST of different models and scenes to view. I mean damn. A TON! And this isn’t just some ahh hell, just hit escape on accident… Hah, yeah, this program will do that to you.. (You’ll learn to avoid the escape key, but I think you get the point.)
Anyways, bringing up a “scene” gets you not only a nicely done background in most cases, but also MUSIC and an attractive LIFE SIZE model of (I picked Harley Quinn) 
I mean DAMN! And that’s just a view from the side… But how the hell do I move around? The head tracking works great and I can.. Oh, duh, WASD for movement. Q and E to rotate left and right, R and F for float up or down.. And apparently Z fires a big wad of Jizz… Well, that’s entertaining. What was more entertaining was the fact that I could walk around the room drooling over her from any angle imaginable.. Any position imaginable. Up, down, left, right, no matter where you look, there’s something to see, it’s like you’re physically there… Pictures do NOT do this kind of experience justice. So, the controls are pretty simple.
Right Click – Open Menu
Scroll Wheel – Scroll up/down the menu
Left Click – Select whatever’s highlighted.
W,A,S,D – Movement – Forward, Left, Back, Right.
R,F – Movement – Up, Down (Floating on the Z-Axis)
Q,E – Movement – Turn Left, Turn Right (Rotation on the Z- Axis)
Z – Shoot a load of jizz.
C – Camera Collect rotate on/off ? I have no idea what this does.
V – Resets Physics ? Again, no clue.
B – Makes the models look at the camera. (Face/eye contact) Doesn’t seem to work.
J – Rendering options. (Physical render/MMD render) MMD looks better to me. The left image is with the MMD render, the right is with the physically based render.
Seems to be more color in the MMD renderer.
K, L – Relief Mapping / Light Scattering. I didn’t notice anything.
Y – Turns the Physics Engine On/Off It’s good for some laughs if you turn it off. Tits flying and stretching everywhere…
U/I – Tone Mapping/ Morphing. Again, I didn’t notice anything. I take that back, Tone mapping affects the “shade” of some colors most noticeably making the sky lighter/darker..
O – O is a very useful key that I wish I’d known how to use a while ago.. It allows you to change between movement modes. There’s movement for you, (Camera move) and Character move, which moves the models around the screen. Character move I’d classify as an “advanced” feature, because you need to learn how to go into the “Character Setting” menu and then “Select active character”. No, it’s not really hard, but it’s not obvious either.
P – Stop / Play motion… It’s the pause button…
Now granted, maybe it’s my bad and I didn’t RTFM like I should have, but I don’t recall seeing a manual anywhere and I just had to stumble my way though it. Especially all the menu options which I still have no idea how to use. Being that this is written for new Vive users who are more than likely looking for free porn, well, boom, here you go. Hah, yeah. It’s a bit of a pain to use and some of the stuff is in Japanese. I figured out the basics and went with that. Selecting characters, modifying heights and all that stuff.. Meh. Too much work.
does anybody know if it is possible to “Incarnate” one of the characters in the scene? I mean, seeing everything from their POV, movements included?
It works perfectly fine after with Riftcat and Soundwire! But Riftcat does support Kinect body tracking as well. Could it be, to be working with this? This would be the future, to grope those pixels 🙂
