Xreal continues its push toward AR excellence with the release of its new Xreal One series. Featuring two pairs of AR glasses dubbed Xreal One and Xreal One Pro, this new line boasts, among other impressive features, Xreal’s first self-designed chipset, the X1.
Internally developed over a three-year period, X1 gives the One series 3DoF tracking at 120Hz. While not as immersive and naturalistic as the 6DoF provided by more fully featured mixed reality devices like Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro, this enhancement notably removes the need for an external Xreal Beam adapter. Xreal One devices will also feature USB-C connectivity that will allow them to function as AR extension displays for a huge range of third-party devices. From iPhones and iPads to PC laptops and Steam Decks… basically any device that transmits video over USB-C can be connected.
Deeper Inside One
Visually, Xreal One users can expect 1080p HD video for each eye on a display that is more than 20% larger than Xreal Air 2, with a 50° FoV made possible by a triangular birdbath lens design. Xreal One Pro offers a first-in-its-field flat-prism lens design that produces a 57° FoV. Both devices feature audio by Bose. Additional features include optional interpupillary distance (IPD) support, 3-mode electrochromic dimming for lens transparency, and Sony 0.55” Micro-LED screens.
AR porn has been gathering steam for a few years and now serves viewers well by allowing, among other things, the bringing of world class pornstars into your home environment. The Xreal One series highlights the continued development of AR tech and points to its likely universal use in the future.
Xreal is now taking orders for Xreal One ($499) and Xreal One Pro ($599) for immediate shipping.
