Maybe you have just got a brand spanking new Oculus Rift… Perhaps you’ve had one since Christmas… Or it could be that you have had one since launch and just now, you are venturing into the dark deep world of virtual reality porn. Playing VR porn videos like those found on this site can be confusing because most instruction manuals provide no or little direction for playing or watching this type of media.
Rather than reading boring instruction manuals or digging deep into pervy Reddit forums, you can read this simple guide that I provide here. Streaming
- Setup your Oculus Rift
- Download the latest version of Microsoft Edge
- Launch the Oculus Application on your PC
- In Microsoft Edge, Go to VRPorn.com
- Find a video you like and push play. [Optional] Logging in first will allow you to watch the video in 4K (compatibility depends on your hardware).
- Click the VR icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the video
- Accept the Microsoft Edge prompt asking for permission to launch VR
- Put on your headset and enjoy
- When selecting another video in another tab, make sure to unselect the VR Icon on your previous video or close it.
- Please Note: Closing the video in VR using the Oculus menu will close Microsoft Edge as well. To avoid this, please use the “Exit VR” button located on the right side of the video UI.
Downloading
- Setup your Oculus Rift
- Go to VRPorn.com (Any Browser)
- Find the video that you would like to watch. [Optional] Logging in first will allow you to download the file in 4K or Max Quality (compatibility depends on your hardware).
- To play Max Quality videos (5K and above), all PC VR video players require the HEVC codecs. For the smoothest playback, we recommend purchasing the official Microsoft HEVC codecs. For a free, less performant alternative, we recommend the LAV Filters DirectShow codecs.
- Save the video to your computer in a location of your choice
- Install the free PLAY’A VR Video Player from the Oculus Store
- Open PLAY’A VR Video Player from the Oculus App
- Put on your Oculus Rift / RiftS
- Navigate to the downloaded video using the tabs at the top of the user interface and select the downloaded VR video. See the image below.
- You might need to change the layout of the video using the options at the bottom right of the video player’s menu. You can pull out the menu by pressing the trigger on the controller after selecting a video. Note, most of the vrporn.com videos are 3D Side by Side and VR 180°. See the image below.

Alternate VR Video Players:
Despite Oculus recently retiring their official Oculus Video player, Rift owners are still spoiled for choice when it comes to great video apps.
For those interested in a more general-purpose VR media viewer, Whirligig Media Player makes a great alternative. One of the few VR video players that also supports VR images (png and jpg) alongside standard video formats, Whirligig is also one of the cheaper video apps, going for a cool $3.99 USD.
For a more premium experience, SkyBox VR is one of the best performing VR video players. With the free edition retired, the upgraded Skybox VR now costs $14.99 USD on the Oculus Store.
