Virt-A-Mate is a highly customizable CGI virtual reality adult simulator. In it, you can create whatever your heart desires when it comes down to virtual deviance. Though, if you don’t have the time or simply don’t feel up to it, there is a wealth of community created content out there waiting to be installed. This is a guide for just that!

Step 1: Download The Files

You can find and download community created scene files from the VirtAMate scenes page on VRPorn.com

Expect two files when you download a VAM scene/appearance: a .json and .jpeg file. The .json file contains the scene’s data while the jpeg file contains it’s in-game “thumbnail image.” Make sure both their names match, the only difference being the file format.

If it’s the newer .vac file, then that’s the only file you need to load the scene.

Step 2: Moving The  Scene Files To The Correct Sub-Directory

Move both scene files into the “scene” sub-directory located in your Virt-A-Mate folder:

  • ReleaseX > Saves > scenes

Copy your scene files to the scene sub-folder in the VAM file.

If you are installing appearances, as in a certain look for one of your characters, instead, then place your .json and .jpeg image into:

  • ReleaseX > Saves > Person > appearance

Step 3: Load The Content In Game

For scenes, open up the menu then go to Main Menu > Load Scene. Your scene should now be ready to go!

Main Menu -> Load Scene Image: Virt-A-Mate

For appearances, select the Person node in Edit Mode. “Load Look…” will be on the top left. Your installed data will be listed, ready for use.
