Palmer Luckey has been teasing us with big news for a few weeks now:
There is even better news coming!
As usual, the net has been abuzz with speculation. But now, the wait is over. Oculus VR unveiled their HD VR prototype at E3 today.
As anybody who has tried the current Oculus Rift version 1 dev kit knows, the resolution is quite low with noticeable pixelation. The new prototype has approximately double the resolution and greatly increases the experience.
Those who have been waiting for the Rift v1 to arrive have already started speculating on whether they will be shipped v1 or v2. It’s a pretty sure bet that Oculus will continue processing v1 orders for a good while until they make v2 available as a dev kit.
I know that I will snap up a dev kit 2 immediately whenever it’s available!
