Project MeakRob47: An underground VR Game

MeakRob47 is a humble CGI artist who has been quietly whittling away at an adult VR masterpiece for years. Don’t be surprised if you haven’t heard of him – marketing isn’t really Rob’s thing. MeakRob47 likes to let his work speak for itself and until now, he’s refused to even give his game a name, opting instead to modestly refer to his project as a “sex thingy.” What Rob is too gracious to tell you is that he’s been patiently crafting a secret game that will help transform the adult gaming industry.

The kind of craftsmanship and artistry that Project Meakrob47 exhibits don’t happen overnight. With over a decade of CGI experience, MeakRob47 knows all too well the hardships that exist behind the velvet curtain of CGI magic and he’s finally taken all of these hard-learned lessons and channeled them into something worthwhile.

Creative Process

The character models that Meakrob47 uses are his own. Rob painstakingly shapes each of them in Blender before subsequently rigging and animating them. This hand-crafted technique is immediately apparent as soon as you load the game. In particular, the textures and shading give the models a hyper-realistic look that’s really unique. Because of this creative approach, MeakRob47 is able to craft models that are shockingly realistic without entering into uncanny valley territory, a tough balance to strike but one that is absolutely essential for proper CGI porn.

The model’s appearance is excellent but it’s not until you notice their movement and animation that they really come to life. Understanding the deep importance of motion in CGI art is a veteran trait and MeakRob47’s experience pays off here big-time. This is the first adult VR game I’ve played where the character’s movements actually feel feminine. Because of the fluid way they move around the screen, the limbs and hips almost seem to be originating in a soul rather than a script.

Facial Expressions

This motion quality even extends to expressions on the character’s faces. There’s personality in them. You look into their eyes and you can almost see your cousin, your wife, or your mother. It’s a moving experience to experience empathy towards a computer program and only a true artist could evoke such a thing. In this regard, Project Meakrob is light years ahead most of its competition.

A Must Have Experience

The game is still only a demo and it isn’t without its imperfections. As MeakRob47 himself acknowledges, the audio is still somewhat limited and the voice acting isn’t the highest quality… There’s also some occasional wonkiness to the hair physics when you adjust its length and it doesn’t always interact with the environment in a sensible way. The same thing happened once or twice with the breasts when I adjusted their size towards the more extreme ends of the spectrum. The motion of the breasts was very well done but sometimes the arms or legs would get in the way and cause some strange interactions. But aside from these few caveats, the game is absolutely stunning. If you own an HMD and are at all interested in adult VR gaming or even in CGI art in general this game is a must have experience.
