What is Virt-A-Mate (VaM for short)?
Virt-A-Mate is an adults-only virtual reality sex simulator and sandbox. The goal of this project was to make realistic characters using a combination of realistic joint physics, soft body physics, skin-accurate collisions, and advanced rendering techniques. The characters can come alive by capturing and storing motion capture from off-the-shelf VR controllers like the Vive controllers or Oculus Touch controllers. The characters can react to your movements or objects you control realistically.
Virt-A-Mate in its current state is meant as a creative tool for making adult content, but plenty of ready-to-use content is available from the in-game VaM Hub or our Discord. Discord: https://discord.gg/cyH8Bsf4DF
Virt-A-Mate also includes a desktop mode for assisting with content creation and those without a VR headset. Users usually use desktop mode to create a significant portion of a scene and then use VR mode to experience their creation.
IMPORTANT! Requirements for running Virt-A-Mate (VaM)
VaM requires a Windows PC (Windows 10 recommended) with a DirectX11 compatible video card to run.
VaM does not run on MacOS, and does not run natively on Oculus Quest. Oculus Quest can work if used with Oculus Link cable and system.
VaM was built for VR, but can also run in a desktop mode. VaM has steep PC requirements due to the nature of extensive body physics systems and simulated hair and clothing systems. Recommended: Intel i7-7XXX series or higher (3.6 GHz or higher), Nvidia 1080Ti GPU or higher, 16GB RAM or higher. VaM favors high single-thread CPU performance for overall framerate but does utilize all CPU cores to an extent. In many cases today, this favors Intel CPUs. VaM hair and cloth simulation also tends to run better on Nvidia GPUs at this time due to how they seem to handle computer shaders more efficiently.

Important Security Patch: VaM 1.22.0.10 Released:
Run the VaM_Updater.exe in your VaM install folder and click the button at the bottom right to update to 1.22.0.10.
Security risks addressed:
Plugins could use specific methods to read or write files outside of VaM’s secure sandbox. Plugins are normally restricted to only being able to read or write to specific folders in your VaM install folder.
Recommendations:
– Immediately patch to 1.22.0.10
– Use the “Allow Plugins Network Access” preference with caution, as it poses the most risk in usage of all the user preferences. This option is disabled by default.
– Never run VaM with administrator privileges.
– If you are still concerned about security risks, consider running VaM with a dedicated user account that you don’t use for anything else besides VaM.
– Only load content from sources you trust.
Regarding VamHub Content:
– Hub-hosted plugins have been scanned, and none of the Hub-hosted plugins are maliciously using any of these methods.

i have a meta quest 3, how can i play this game?
I was able to download it, and use the key to unlock entertainer mode. But I can’t actually play the game. I am able to enter the scene and look around, but don’t understand how to interact. I couldn’t find a helpful tutorial for this, is there any tutorial which can help

I freshly installed the game to check to see if PC VR was affected and it worked fine here.
Can you describe your issue with more detail? What VR device are you using? Does your PC meet the minimum requirements to run VaM?
